About this deal

DC Calvin Bridge is a character not as heart-warming as Felix, but he has his charm. He is temporarily in charge of running the investigation (albeit reluctantly) he has his problems, a troubling history but a keen and caring attitude to policing. Another great book from this multi-award winning author, who always dares to be different and transports the reader into a mesmerising and masterful mystery, that delivers a clever plot, elegant prose and humorous dialogue. DC Calvin Bridge is in charge of the investigation into this catastrophe, and even he is charmed by Felix, indeed the whole team treat him like their own grandfather. Yes a team of police officers with a caring nature! The only thing this police team could be accused of is cruelty to vending machines! But just fifteen minutes later Felix is on the run from the police – after making the biggest mistake of his life.

I enjoyed my unique reading journey a lot with the perfect characterization! ( can you imagine a book without any character you truly hate! Oh boy, I adored all these characters a lot. None of them earned my vicious wrath or any punching points! They were so decent, nice! Especially our true hero Felix was book grandpa! - a brand new term after book boyfriend- I like to write a new song for him: won’t you be my neighbor or my grandpa? What a sweet, unique, incredible human being he was! )The song was featured in the 1981 film Stripes, used as a marching cadence by characters played by Bill Murray and Harold Ramis in boot camp. This usage inspired real-life Army units to use it as a marching song. [28] This ingenious and darkly comic mystery is an absolute delight and Felix is one of the most loveable fugitives ever created.' Sunday Express Pensioner Felix Pink is a member of the Exiteers, a group of discreet volunteers who serve as witnesses for terminally ill people that have chosen to end their lives. They also tidy up, ensuring that the deaths appear to have been by natural causes.

The plot develops into a crime to be solved because something unexpectedly goes wrong in Abbotsham with new recruit Amanda at the bedside, and Felix is torn between accepting his fate without question and trying to understand how on earth the mistake happened in the first place. He opts for the latter and in the course of his own bumbling investigations we meet next door neighbour Miss Knott, Skipper and his grandson Reggie, the Moon couple and the officers dealing with the case. Calvin/Kelvin Bridge is the acting DC paired with DCI Kirsty King to work out whether the death of Albert Cann is a crime or not. There is a depth to all the characters as we learn about their lives, their relationships, the past which has formed their present day actions, and all of these features are brought to life with brilliant and often very funny dialogue.Reparata & The Delrons Italian-American girl-group The Delrons formed in 1963 at St Brendon's High School in Brooklyn, New York. Their first single, Your Big… The narrator could make me interested in the various characters, the voices played were distinct with emotions and intonations. Harry Bosch and the Lincoln Lawyer team up to exonerate a woman who’s already served five years for killing her ex-husband. It is the kind of novel that I expect will appeal to reading groups for its highly engaging plot, the gentle humour, strong characterisations, and the opportunity it provides for discussion on a range of topics. I also feel that Mabel, Felix’s scrubbing-brush of a mongrel, will prove a huge hit with readers. She certainly won a place in my heart as did Felix himself.
