About this deal

Blood may connect you biologically, but the threads of the family are woven by the moments you share.” I know I am using capitalized words now, but this is a review, not a published book I'm selling to people under false promises for money. But that killed me throughout this book. He sidesteps the assaulting water with ease and crosses his arms against his chest. “The last time I lost sight of you, you made me chase you half the day. I’m not in the hunting mood tonight, witch.”

Wary of the enemy, he allowed his eyes to dart along the market for the stall he had risked adventuring out for. It was a herb stall, cheap and reasonable, and Tubbo - Tommy’s friend - had a discount. Clutching at the scratchy paper Tubbo had given him, Tommy made his way over to the green-cloth covered table. His nose wrinkled at the perfume of all the herbs and flowers mingling together. It smelled almost like rotten eggs and shit. That was one of the many things that had changed. What would smell nice to a human was repulsive to Tommy. The only thing that smelled enticing was blood. Something that bugged me big time that I noticed time and time again throughout the book was that whenever the Calem brothers ever said or did anything, they were always smiling. Smiling coyly, smiling playfully, a beaming smile, a wide smile, a warm smile ... smile smile smile. We get it, they're friendly and sweet frat boys in which they exist as an oxymoron. Aaron also has the energy of a middle schooler who discovered coffee for the first time, which easily teeters off into the realm of annoying and not as endearing as the author wants it to be. Case in point: Aaron turning into a child in the grocery store and literally...yeeting? Kimberly's debit card further into the store. But because Aaron is a cute boy with golden retriever energy it means he's easily forgiven <3No catch. You join me and I'll give you everything you could possibly want. In return, all you have to do is stay." He stood close now, close enough that Wilbur could see the way his eyes curled with sadness, close enough that he could see the man behind the monster. They stood like that for a moment, head to head, chest to chest, peering into each other's souls, then Phil was gone, swept away into the Misty shadows once again. There's little room given to ever flesh out side characters, but even more so when it comes to the few women we're introduced to. Unsurprisingly, most of which are written in a negative light with little good things to be said about them. It's literally only Kimberly that we hear good things about because she's not like other girls. That being said, the pacing in this could have used work and especially room to breathe between scenes. Kimberly has no friends with the low effort put into actually making any, which bleeds into the rest of the book and leads to no anticipation for future Aaron/Kimberly scenes. This is because there are rarely any scenes where the two of them aren't together and it leads to fatigue. The world building in this book is absolutely phenomenal. At first, I was slightly confused, but that has nothing to do with the way it is written. Blood may be a commonality, but shared experiences and laughter create the true richness of family.”

The ties of blood are a symphony of hearts, playing a melody of love that resonates through generations.” She wasn’t entirely convinced by his cover-up, but she didn’t question him any further. She returned to collecting the various herbs and flowers and powers and roots Tubbo needed. So, Tommy turned his attention to scanning the market. Sí sentí que la historia y los personajes ya pensaban muy deprisa con ciertos temas, como lo de convertir a Kim en vampiro y el together forever de Kim y Aaron, pero al menos no tardaron 2 libros en definir los temas. Imagínate si ese fuera el caso 😮‍💨.I got the opportunity to read this book as a eARC and...it did NOT disappoint. Everything within is immaculate. The writing. The plot and pacing. The characters! However I am in distraught over the way this book has ended and I need that third book like I need air. I need answers, I need happiness, I need something.

Though it wasn’t like Tommy hadn’t had his run-ins. The vampires sent after him were brutal, each wave getting stronger. He was clearly pissing someone off now the way they sent in practically an army to deal with him. The last run-in had been the worst, leaving Tommy crawling out of the fight barely holding onto his life. A few cuts and bruises and a large gash on his side that refused to heal. Being in hiding was easier than you’d think. Just keep your head down, don’t draw too much attention to yourself. Pretty simple, right? Well, it had nearly been a year and Tommy hadn’t been caught. An absolutely stunning dark fantasy romance with an enemies-to-lovers story that completely ensnared me. Westrup is masterful in writing messy female characters, and Viola stole my heart. Westrup is masterful in writing messy female characters, and Viola stole my heart. She is dark and vengeful and just this beacon of strength and resilience, but she has also allowed her rage to blind her to her own faults. I really enjoyed this sequel. It has some of my favorite tropes (enemies-to-lovers, slow burn, pretend plaything) and I loved Nadir. He knew he ought to decline. What Phil was offering was Dark and Evil and monstrous, and there was no guarantee that he would keep his promises but still... the offer was so tempting. It was everything Wilbur had ever secretly dreamed about. Power, respect, freedom. freedom from a world that dragged him down. If he accepted, he could do anything, everyone powerless to stop him. He could make them Cower.Este libro acaba de darme todo lo que le había pedidooooo. El romance, on point. El misterio, on point. La trama, on point. El humor, on point. Los hermanos Calem, ON POINT 🔥. her heartbeat was identifiable, thundering. it was beautiful music to my ears. the best sound in the entire world.” No, I'm not gonna kill ya. I wanna give you a gift." The man said, humor lacing his words the way a parent would speak to a child. A wave of curiosity pushed away the fear and his brow furrowed. To his left, a crow squawked. Aaron Calem has been trying to resist the blood lust raging through his new body, but the unfamiliar voice in his head won't let him pass up an easy meal. When he's left with a girl barely clinging to life, he must choose between loyalty to his brothers or his own morality.

Zach was number 1 for my blind ranking and honestly he could have stayed there if I had more from him but we did get a lot of him in book 2 PLUS a pov 😍 This section will be short, because there isn't much to it. This is marketed as a vampire romance with a "cinnamon roll male lead" which let me tell you - boring is what he is - what they all are but I'll get to that later. The end was a bit of a twist though with the death of a character, and a few of them getting kidnapped. Overall the plot of this book had the perfect amount of college shenanigans including a few parties and a frat car wash (it is just as amazing as it sounds trust me!!) while maintaining the impending and present threat of the family. The reader is also introduced to some fantastic villains and a few new characters that I personally loved which add so much to the story and the events within it. TBTBU is everything I wanted and more and I honestly can't wait to see what happens next in this series! Go Read it!! He was caught between two worlds, forced to feed upon others lest he withers away into Dust. A monster, powerful and hungry. With no other choice, the man slipped into the shadows, doing what he did best: Hiding and surviving.Sometimes, the draw of blood was too strong, making the newfound feeling within boil with rage. Tommy still remembered the first few weeks of the change, and how difficult it was to stumble along the streets without murdering anyone on sight. He survived on cats and stray dogs for most of it - which made his stomach churn at the disgusting violation of his morals. In the end, it wasn’t enough. That feeling was too strong. He still remembered the first human he fed on outside of the coven, and it made his spine shiver as if cold ice was spreading through his blood, chilling him to the bone. Though not unusual to find vampires in the market, it was a popular part of the week and everyone enjoyed the atmosphere, Tommy noted the inordinate amount of Vampires lingering around. Perhaps there was something going on? Or they were just out for a casual Saturday at the market? Either way, it wasn’t good for Tommy.
