That said, some of the third party batteries are very close to the Fujifilm’s original in performance, while they cost only a fraction of the price. The frame rate and number of frames per burst varies with shooting conditions and type of memory card used.

Autofocus system: Intelligent hybrid AF (TTL contrast-detect/phase-detection AF) with AF-assist illuminator Today I received 2 batteries and they are working perfect in my booster grip (without the camera internal battery)“It makes more sense to me that Fuji would have designed both of the Generation 3 cameras to take full advantage of the new battery they were developing, but that the battery might not have been ready for the X-Pro2 release. Lenses – Should have no marks on the elements andoptically clear. There may be light dust present that will not effect theimagery. Watson and Green Extreme have performance pretty much on par with the original batteries and cost roughly a third of them. They are currently available only the US. The battery indicators in cameras are based on actual voltage of the battery. However, since the Fuji batteries have quite a different voltage curve, compared to all the aftermarket batteries, the remaining capacity shown by the camera isn’t accurate for non-Fuji batteries. This is mostly apparent on almost empty batteries — while the camera shows that the battery is still OK, it can actually be almost empty.

All the batteries lose their performance with time and usage. Their capacity decreases and the internal resistance increases. Don’t expect the very same performance from few years old batteries as you get from the new ones. I had one fully charged, put it into my X-Pro2, shot for maybe 10 minutes, and then the camera shut down. I was so confused. I popped the battery out, it was hot, and popped in a Wasabi battery and let the camera sit for a minute to cool. Turned it on and all was well – thank goodness. But needless to say, I won’t be buying anymore dirt cheap Dot-01 batteries.

Note: Battery endurance varies with battery charge level and the figures given above are not guaranteed. Battery endurance will decline at low temperatures. My old original NP-W126 currently, after several years of usage, has roughly 1100 mAh, while it had >1200 mAh when new. Lower quality batteries can show more significant aging, the DSTE battery is already almost unusable. Conclusion For the old NP-W126, there are several offerings from third party manufacturers. I personally use PATONA batteries (I think they are WATSON rebranded in USA, but I’m not sure), and I’m very happy with them. Submit a valuation request and we'll provide guide prices with no delay. This product information is fully applicable to the Fujifilm series compatible batteries, "Fujifilm battery NP-W126S". In Europe, there are very good Patona Platinum, Patona Premium and ExPro White. All of them offer >90% capacity of the original batteries and also they don’t seem to produce significantly more heat even after some heavy use.
