About this deal

Once the harness is fastened, the colour indicator confirms your child is safe and as your child grows the headrest and harness easily adjust together so they are always positioned correctly. At Maxi-Cosi we have carried over 50 million babies home from the hospital. As a leading specialist in child mobility, your little one’s safety is our top priority. Our intuitive and innovative toddler car seats are designed to protect your toddler and carry you as family happily into the future. External crash test centres, such as the German automobile organisation ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club), test our Maxi-Cosi car seat on dynamic safety and ease of use. As your toddler grows, Tobi grows too. The safety harness and headrest adjust simultaneously to offer a perfect fit. Tobi has 5 ways to recline in sitting and sleeping positions, to make sure any journey is comfortable the whole way. For even more comfort, Maxi-Cosi Tobi offers an extra high seating position, giving your little one great views of what’s going on outside.

So 2 days later it happens again. Not only that, but the straps have jammed on tight, so I take the seat out of the car to investigate only to find that the plastic housing around the belt tensioner under the soft-cap has broken and the strap is caught up in it. This was probably done as a result of us trying so hard to get the straps to tighten over her shoulders. Anyway I extracted the belt from the housing with some difficulty and had to use the seat the next day. We recommend that babies shouldn`t be left in Group 0/0+ car seats (infant carriers) for prolonged periods. We bought this seat in March 2007 when my older daughter was 3 and weighed around 33lbs as our previous one had just given up. It was marketed as the safest non-Isofix seat on the market in the UK, and I believe is still very highly rated. We were very pleased with it and used it for about 6 months until she was ready for a booster seat. The Maxi-Cosi Tobi is a forward-facing car seat that is suitable from 9 to 18 kg (approx. 9 months until 4 years). If you have one that works for you, then there's no need for concern, however if you are buying one for your 9/10 month old, please think carefully as you do not know how they will grow in the next 6 months or so. Thanks for reading.

The specially designed base on the Maxi-Cosi car seat positions the seat higher so that little ones can easily see out of the window during car journeys. A group 1 car seat, suitable for toddlers 9-18 kg (approximately 9 months to 4 years), the Tobi is easy to install with a 3-point seat belt. Under no circumstances should a car seat be used on a passenger seat where there is an active airbag. When the ADAC tested Maxi-Cosi Tobi, it scored above average on safety. The Tobi car seat is equipped with a Side Protection System (SPS), which means that in case your car has a harmful side impact, Maxi-Cosi Tobi’s SPS reduces the risk of your little one getting injured.

Don’t worry if your car doesn’t allow for ISOFIX installation. Our belted car seats are just as easy to use. Simply follow the instructions in the included manual and you and your little one are ready to go!Colour indicator to confirm that the harness is securely tightened around your toddler Intuitive and easy to read belt routing Not sure which toddler car seat fits your car? Then use the Maxi-Cosi Tobi—it will fit any car, because it can be attached using your car’s seat belt. Our user manual elaborately explains how to securely install Tobi in your car. Easy to use and install with the car's three-point seat belt, the Tobi has colour indicators to confirm the installation is correct. For optimum safety, the Tobi features Side Impact Protection.
