About this deal

In the years that followed, the Beatles would splinter viscerally while never quite being able to quit one another. Ringo played on All Things Must Pass and Lennon’s epochal solo debut, Plastic Ono Band. Paul and John nurtured a public animus that provided a tissue-thin veneer over what was plainly the hurt feelings of two estranged siblings. The finely-rendered Abbey Road LP allowed the group to put the dream of the Beatles to bed with a fan-service-worthy flourish. Let It Be was just before all that, when the emotions and the tunes were too raw to gloss over. The words "recordingis" are written as one word. Later 1st pressings have the phrase "recording is" correctly printed as two words. Two of Us" – a remix of the take recorded on 31 January 1969 used on the album; framing dialogue removed; minor error in Lennon's acoustic guitar performance digitally corrected.

This "...Naked" -LP was mixed and remastered from the original 1969 recorded master-tapes and comes without "Dig it" and "Maggie Mae" - two titles of the 1970'th "Let It Be"-release but with "Don't Let Me Down", that is not on Phil Spector's reproduced remix from 1970. Let It Be... Naked also comes with a second disc entitled Fly on the Wall, consisting of several short fragments of studio conversation and song rehearsals, amounting to approximately 21 minutes of bonus material. This disc will doubtless be fascinating to fans, and in particular the snippets of John performing a very early version of "Imagine" (here referenced as "John's Piano Piece"), and a short, striking version of Harrison's "All Things Must Pass", obviously influenced by his time spent with Bob Dylan and The Band in America the previous year. However, given that the entire two-disc set runs less than an hour, I wonder why it wasn't condensed to a single disc. Furthermore, if a 21-minute outtakes collection deserves its own bonus disc, why not expand this material to fill the rest of the CD? Apparently, releasing two versions of Let It Be make more sense to the remaining Beatles than giving fans something new.a b c "Infinity Broadcasting and Apple Corps Ltd Partner for Unique, One Time Only Radio Event". The single mix made its album debut on the Beatles' 1967–1970 compilation album. They managed to use George Harrisons solo for “Let It Be” from a totally different take. And they admitted to pitch shifting a few off vocal notes. The Anthology saw that happening a few times where stuff from one take was mixed with another.. It can be done.. So why not fix that outta tune casino a bit and maybe lower it in volume? Or find a different take ya know.. I feel like Johns guitar ruins some of those performances. They’re still awesome, but its irritating. lol Don’t Let Me Down it’s especially terrible.
