A third variation of the Energy Sword, the Bloodblade is obtained by defeating Jega 'Rdomnai during the final campaign mission. It is distinguished from both of its counterparts in that it features a vivid scarlet colouration, alongside higher damage and a hardlight disintegration effect upon killing an enemy. However, it doesnt have the increased movement speed and jump height of the Duelist. In Halo: Reach, if an Energy Sword is put in the water, the blade becomes invisible. If the sword is placed pointing upward, the parts of the blade near the hilt are not visible, but the tips are. My assignment was to make a light/lamp using only plastics and a light source (LEDs in my piece). This was my first attempt in thermaforming acrylic sheets and PVC pipe using only a heatgun. Because of size limitation of acrylic plastic material given to us (12"x24" sheets) for the project, the sword is smaller than scale as depicted in the video game. The finished dimensions is approx 24" total length x 12" at it's widest point. The smaller size however is ideal for carrying it around and for small kids to hold. It is very solid and strongly put together, but it is NOT a toy for kids or adults to swing at people, pets, or things. That could be dangerous. If I were to build another sword, Ideally I would make it from 28-32" length. The pic of me and friends holding the sword shows how bright it glows. The Duelist Energy Sword was carried and used by Toha 'Sumai, a renowned Sangheili blademaster. The weapon was taken from 'Sumai some time prior to March 2555, when his former-student Okro 'Vagaduun assassinated the blademaster. The weapon was used by 'Sumai to defend himself from 'Vagaduun in a martial duel done as part of 'Vagaduun's initiation into the Banished, with one of Atriox's core teachings being to reject honour and all previous loyalties. Following 'Sumai's death, 'Vagaduun retrieved the Duelist Energy Sword his former master's body and proceeded to carry it throughout his career in the Banished.
