About this deal

Granted, it has all the essentials, but who doesn’t like having some additional bells and whistles? Battery For battery life, after cycling the battery a couple times, play a loop of music and put a microphone in an earcup to record the output (a very low data rate would be fine), so that you can review the audio the following day to know exactly what time it cuts out. Perhaps repeat the process at a high and low volume level to determine the potential range, and using both connection methods. There’s also a turbocharge mode that lets you charge the headset for only 7 minutes to get two full hours of use out of it. And if you swipe the slide switch once you’ll get a voice notification telling you at what percentage the battery life stands.

It does come with some cool features. For example, you can use this headset while it is being charged, which, surprisingly, isn’t something all headsets support. The wireless connection always takes priority, and it’s the only mode that allows you to use the other features, which we’ll mention in a little bit. It's worth noting that while they do come with an in-built microphone, this only works when you’re connected through Bluetooth - not the USB-C dongle. That’s because the dongle is focused on providing low-latency audio, so there is minimal disruption between what’s happening in your game and what you’re hearing. However, it does mean that you won’t be able to communicate with team-mates online. As the Sennheiser branding and the price betray, the GSP 670 isn’t a normal pair of gaming headphones. If you can get past its chunky styling, this set arguably performs exactly the same tasks as the “professional” Logitech Zone Wireless, and in many ways does it better.

How does the Sennheiser GSP 670 sound?

Yet, if you want a headset that’s a bit more versatile or one that you can carry into the adjacent room or even the one next to that with impunity, then you should consider some of the alternatives. The presets have every situation covered, although you’re always welcome to make your sound profiles if this is something you feel obliged to do.

These earbuds boast the sort of audio quality you’d expect from the team at EPOS, whose hardware is on our top gaming headsets list, with deep bass, rich mid-tones, and fantastic directional audio making them as impressive playing games on your Switch or PS5 as they are listening to your favourite tunes through your phone. Plus, a charging case comes with the GTW 70 Hybrid that can give the earbuds up to a total of 20 hours of battery life. In an effort to mitigate the aforementioned issues of comfort we experienced with the GSP 600 before it, a two-axis metal hinge system holds the GSP 670 together. Not only does this help improve its fit, but Sennheiser claims the headset will also last longer as a result. Whether it's because of the build quality, the subdued aesthetics or a combination of both, everything about the GSP 670 does feel premium. The hinge is no exception. This last feature is one we don’t see very often in gaming headsets, but it’s certainly appreciated and guaranteed to let you find the perfect zone of comfort.
