About this deal

The ElectriQ 12L dehumidifier has remarkable features, and now let us compare it with one of the best brands- the NETTA 12L dehumidifier. ElectriQ 12L I was given solutions designed for different models (this model does not have a removable water tank).

Even so, it does a brilliant job of removing moisture from the air. While it's unlikely to get near 20 litres per day, it pulls large amounts of water from the air - especially at room temperature or higher. It also has a four litre water tank, so you won't need to empty it as often as other models (although this is smaller than the 6 litre Meaco Low Energy 20L). Aside from improving my overall health, the electriQ 12 Litre Dehumidifier has other great features, these include. Extraction Rate - The dehumidifier extracts water at a rate of 12 litres per day. This rate is sufficient to inhibit mould, spore and bacteria growth, as well as preventing condensation and damp. It filters up to 135 cubic metres of air per hour.

What stands out?

With a 10 litre capacity, the Electriq CD10L is clearly designed for smaller homes than the excellent CD20LE. Unfortunately, we don't think it matches the performance of its bigger sibling.

The Electriq 10l dehumidifier is a solid model, but, unlike the 20L version, we can't recommend it over alternatives such as the Meaco Small Home Dehumidifier. It's easy to use and relatively cheap, but struggles to remove enough water from the air compared to its closest competitors. There is nothing worse than your dehumidifier breaking down just after the Manufacturer's warranty has expired. Here at Buy It Direct Ltd we want you to get the most out of your dehumidifier, which is why we offer a 2 Year Warranty plan. Filter - The unit has an active carbon filter with space for an HEPA filter to catch dust, pollen, allergens, etc. Low Energy - When compared to standard dehumidifiers, the electriQ 12L Low Energy Dehumidifier uses up to 40% less energy. This is thanks to its compressor which runs on 180W only. The most effective way to combat mould, condensation and dampness with further savings due to smart app schedulingI was given the same advice repeatedly, even though I had told them multiple times that I had tried this solution.

Refrigerant dehumidifiers work best when there is a big difference in temperature between the coils and air. This is why they tend to be most effective at room temperature and above, but gradually become worse as the temperature drops. You can then choose to use the 2.5L water tank or the provided continuous drainage hose. Alternatives to the ElectriQ 12L DehumidifierNoise levels: Sadly noise levels are what lets this mini dehumidifier down. The brand measures them as 39dB, the loudest of all the low cost dehumidifiers in our round-up. And, for such a small unit, it does make a lot of noise. I found I couldn’t leave it on overnight because it irritated me, which is a shame as its light feature means it would otherwise have proved itself a good nightlight. Water Tank - The electriQ 12L Low Energy Dehumidifier has a large 4 litre water tank. When full, the unit will automatically switch off and let you know that it needs to be emptied.

However, I tested the Challenge 0.5 Litre Mini Dehumidifier several times in my kitchen whilst cooking and found it collected excess moisture caused by steamy conditions efficiently. Condensation seems to collect on the cooler surface in my home, i.e. Windows, Exterior Walls and behind furniture, this always makes the interior walls damp to the touch, which then will turn into dreaded mould. There’ also a built-in handle on the top too, which seems to hold the weight of the unit and feels quite sturdy. electriQ 12 Litre Dehumidifier. Noise levels This dehumidifier uses a Peltier condenser that means there's no noisy compressor to disturb you, however, that doesn't make the ProBreeze 1500ml Mini dehumidifier totally silent, there's still the noise of the fan to adjust to. I left it running in my bedroom overnight, and although the 40dBA noise is noticable and initially bothered me, I soon zoned it out. Plus, there’s no varying fan speed which means its white noise is easier to ignore. The ElectriQ 12L dehumidifier display has six easy to operate button, plus an LED light display that indicates the current humidity level via colour changes as follows; This doesn't mean the CD10L has no redeeming qualities. It's just as quiet as the CD20LE, at 42dB, and has a high build quality. It's also relatively energy efficient and lightweight - along with being one of the cheapest Electriq models. Our Extended5 Year Warranty from Buy It Direct gives you the reassurance that if an electrical or mechanical fault arises you won't be exposed to costly repair bills. Our dedicated technical team will take care of your dehumidifier. The idea behind the supplied hose is that you can plumb it into the water outlet and have a permanent drain for your collected condensation. I didn’t use this and instead used the standard water tank method.
