The internet connection is unstable or suddenly stops working when connected to the Deco network? 07-12-2023 846704 The point is that if you want to use the XE200, you must use the Deco mobile app. There’s no way out of it. And that’s the case of all Deco sets. One particularly nice feature is the ability to route individual clients through a third-party VPN gateway. TP-Link’s implementation isn’t as versatile as Asus’ VPN Fusion tool. It only supports one server connection at once and only works with OpenVPN, PPTP and L2TP/IPSec servers, whereas the Asus system supports up to 16 connections and works with WireGuard. Still, the Deco’s VPN support will be fine for most people – it’s a definite plus point. In both cases I used my usual test laptop, with an Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E network card (supporting 2×2 MIMO) to copy files to and from an Asustor Drivestor 4 Pro NAS appliance, which was connected to the XE200 via 2.5GbE. Here are the speeds I saw in various parts of my home over the 5GHz network, along with results from some other mesh systems:
Generally, despite the size, I like the look of the TP-Link Deco XE200. I hide my routers in cabinets, so design isn’t hugely important to me, but for those that plan on having their router out in the open, it’s nice to have something that should fit in a home. TP-Link Deco XE200 features

The second new router is the Archer AXE300 which comes with traditional antennas but manages to have some novelty of its own: It’s the first Quad-band router from TP-Link. (And the second on the market after the Netgear RBRE960.) Like previous Deco sets, the XE200 has relatively limited network settings, typifying any app-operated canned mesh system. The XE200 went through our week-long testing and real-world usage with no issues. So it proved to be reliable. The TP-Link Deco XE200, at this point in time, is a little overshadowed by TP-Link’s new Wi-Fi 7 routers — but it thankfully still offers a range of modern technologies at a cheaper price than TP-Link’s newest offerings.

They are all auto-sensing. Each can work as a LAN or a WAN automatically. Gbps internet speeds require compatible service plans and equipment. 10 Gbps and 1 Gbps ports cannot be concurrently configured as ports. In all, this router is such as novelty that it deserves a separate post. First Quad-band router: Archer AXE300 (AXE16000) By the way, it seems the AXE300 is meant to be a standalone router — it seems to be one of a few new TP-Link routers that don’t support OneMesh. Though this might change by the time the router is released, considering my experience with OneMesh, this omission is not necessarily a bad thing. Flagship purpose-built mesh: Deco XE200 (AXE11000) So far, the only other router with two 10Gbps ports is the Asus RT-AX89X which has one 10Gbps LAN and another 10Gbps SFP+). Of course, how the Deco XE200 pans out is to be determined — right now, we still don’t know if it will hit the shelves this year. In short, the XE200 is very thin on settings and features. But that can be good for folks who want a mesh that works for their Wi-Fi connection needs and not much else. TP-Link Deco XE200: Fast performance But if you need to add more units, the process is easy as long as you have a mobile phone to run the TP-Link Deco app. All you have to do is follow the well-thought-out onscreen instructions. The latter two are based on the Intel AX210 adapter that you can use to upgrade your computer to Wi-Fi 6E. Availability and pricing In short, even when hosting a super-fast brand or a local server, the 10Gbps port doesn’t have any way to show its performance on the hardware’s output front. So, this port is always overkill.A firmware update can resolve issues that the previous firmware version may have and improve its current performance.
