About this deal

I felt very called out by Bailey, to be honest, we are literally the same person. She’s very much your typical Type A, rule follower, who also runs a bookstagram account and has an obsession with Taylor Swift + Emily Henry books. She is me. I am her. It’s scary how accurate that is. I really liked the premise of this book, with all the different kinds of trouble Bailey and Charlie get to and their strange “amusement park resort” workplace. I also couldn’t get enough of all the Taylor Swift references, it felt like finding a piece of treasure everytime I noticed one (I think I counted 10 total). lynn painter books always have that perfect late 90s/early 00s romcom feel to them & this one was no exception. this book delves into the experiences of children with divorced parents & how that affects them. i rarely read YA romances but lynn painter's ones never miss! i always love the taylor swift references & this one also had new girl references which made it even better. the only thing i wish is that they would've been a little more grovelling at the end. its been 3 years and.. theyre both trainees at a job training, working in the same unit. sparks fly between them, so will they become friends.. or something more?

His mouth turned up into a big smile, the kind that made his eyes twinkle and secretly made me want to laugh. Charlie: She tried pulling a Jake on ME, but I went over and reclaimed it. Not gonna have her being reminded of innocence and thinking it smells like me. And while I’m not a huge When Harry Met Sally fan, I’m so happy the secondary relationship made it into the book!! I loved the drama of that bowling date. And did I absolutely eat up when he remembered her popcorn eating habits? OF COURSE I did I’m not a robot. I really enjoyed the second half of the book and think I’d have had a lot less issues if I’d have just waited on the ARC and grabbed the audiobook instead. I notice quirks of writing a lot less via audio and Jesse Vilinsky has me loving everything her voice touches.

Whyyyyyyy? Why was this smug, sarcastic jerk even part of my experience? He’ s ruining flying for me, I thought as I scanned my boarding pass and started down the Jetway, which was ironic when flying was the only thing I didn’t hate about the day. From the New York Times bestselling author of Better Than the Movies, this swoon-worthy rom-com in the vein of She’s All That and 10 Things I Hate About You follows a teen girl who unwittingly finds herself at the center of a bet while working at a waterpark. Disclaimer: When Harry Met Sally isn’t a favorite movie of mine. Honestly the idea of reading it in book form—the movie is already so long—gives me hives. But I do love Lynn Painter, so I was always going to give this a read. Also there are a few spoilers below, but nothing crazy! i loved scott as well. he was so nice and caring.. and my heart melted when he proposed to emily. i was so happy for emily and how understanding bailey became in the end when she realised that scott wasn't all that bad. well, he wasnt all too well either.. but.. all's well that ends well, right?

During your commute: If you take public transportation or have a long commute, you may find it helpful to use that time to read. when bailey had the internal 'you are in love' moment and was screaming and going crazy, i was just screaming GET TOGETHER ALREADY!From the New York Times bestselling author of Better than the Movies, this swoon-worthy rom-com in the vein of She’s All That and 10 Things I Hate About You follows a teen girl who unwittingly finds herself at the center of a bet while working at a waterpark. also this also had some realism in it, which i enjoyed. i liked seeing how bailey and charlies lives became different as both their parents split, and they bonded over it. Their initial encounter took place a year ago during a lengthy flight to Omaha, where Bailey relocated following her parents’ divorce. second, AND DONT FREAK OUT!, but.. too MANY taylor references. i know, i know.. but there actually is something as too many. this book is full of jokes, sarcasm and most importantly bets. charlie’s and bailey’s first impression of each other was.. not such a meet-cute but entertaining as hell, that i can tell you. over the span of three years, they saw each other once or twice until one day they end up working at the same waterpark. and as things happen, they are betting on something. charlie keeps teasing her, bailey keeps waving him off. the amount of times i was blushing-

From the New York Times bestselling author of Better than the Movies, this swoon-worthy rom-com in the vein of She's All That and 10 Things I Hate About You follows a teen girl who unwittingly finds herself at the center of a bet while working at a waterpark. And yet, this book manages to break your heart at the same time. Bailey's feelings regarding her parent's divorce were heart-wrenching. Her dad hasn't messaged her in four months and her mum's new boyfriend is invading her home. I honestly just wanted to hug her. Which made the guy open his eyes—I could only see one eye—and look directly at me. While still kissing the girl. As if that wasn’t weird enough, he said to me while his lips were still attached to hers, “Oh my God—what?”still couldn't listen to the Taylor Swift album that'd been popular at the time because it made me cry.
