About this deal

I think the Valve Amp adds that little bit of nice distortion that makes it harder to differentiate. I’m listening on Sundara’s. On board, Mountain View DSP chip is used, which has an A/D section supports up to 24-bit / 192k music streaming in, and four D/A converters for up to 16-bit / 48k music out. Although not 24-bit / 192k level audio output, this is an important "upgrade" from Sonos speakers and is on-par with the popular Analog Devices ADAU1701 performance. The "hi-res" music files in my collection finally can be digitally streamed and processed. I haven't had a chance to connect, but I2S pins are provided on board for off-board DAC or I2S Amp. The sound quality from this streaming board as is, is satisfying relative to generic CD player, or Bluetooth streaming. The biggest value of this board is its multi-room synchronized audio capability, which applies to floor-stand 4-way speaker build as well. The award I give this is heavily influenced by the very low cost of the unit but needs to be taken with caveats mentioned in the body of the review. AT A GLANCE With connect services such as Spotify connect etc. the app does offload the processes to the Streamer and the streamer (S10 in this case) does the processing.

I guess, my search for a reasonably priced streamer that supports similar services like the S10 continues; that said, recommendations are welcome.Arylic S10 comes in a really small box, not unlike those used to house Raspberry Pi boards. It looks quite simple but stylish, with sides made of matte aluminum and the glossy top that looks like some sort of acrylic material.

Tune Like An Expert: Fine tune your listening experience with our exclusive ACPWorkbench tuning tool. Find the perfect sound for each channel with EQ, Bass Enhancement, Advanced DSP Effects, Gain, Pregain and more.. Affordable; easy to set up; supports major music streaming services; decent construction with aluminium chassis. I wanted to see if the S10 would work with my receiver using universal ports and I’m happy to report that it does. Bluetooth for me is a bit of an academic subject as it rarely works properly on any product and it was the same here for me. Pairing is easy and whatnot but streaming from YouTube I got constant dropouts, as I often do when trying it and so this is more likely an issue with my phone or the house. CONCLUSIONWe listened to more songs than those named in this playlist, but those are excellent for identifying a sonic signature. I recommend trying most of the songs from this playlist, especially if you’re searching for new music! The playlists are different for Spotify, Tidal and Youtube, and based on the songs I enjoy and are available on each! Plugged into my main hi-fi rig, it gives hints of what the system is able to achieve. No, it did not achieve the synergy I’m used to hearing with the regular preamp, but it would be unfair to compare the S50 Pro with something multiple times its price. Can I recommend the Arylic S10? Yes, I can, but not overly enthusiastically for those looking for an audiophile experience. If you are on a tight budget, looking for a streamer that works well, takes up negligible real estate and you have a system that is relevant (not hugely resolving) then I think the Arylic is a sensible choice. The Pro V3 board has two siblings. The simplified version saved from not having audio in, USB in, and Ethernet connectivity, I2S output is retained so audio quality upgrade path is still there, and this can be a better choice for speaker build. The more elaborated version includes optical/digital port and an upgraded DAC, which can be a better choice for a streaming amp build. Both will be tested in the near future.

Very accessible retail price, ideal for a budget set-up; fuss-free operation; supports major music streaming services. The DAC 32 is meant to be used as a WiFi capable Logitech Media Server / Squeezebox end point streamer with its RCA analogue outputs, but you can also use it in Roon over Airplay (1) and as a squeezebox player up to 96k resolutions – just remember to set the Squeezebox settings! Arylic S10 vs Triangle AIO Connect (79 USD vs 150 USD) – We have two very different Streamers here today. The biggest difference is that while S10 cannot do any kind of digital output, AIO Connect has a really noisy analogue output and using it via its line out was almost impossible, the noise floor being generally very audible. This is why direct comparisons would be complicated, AIO has the advantage of using an external DAC which may be more potent than S10, but it also has a starting price of double that of S10, where S10 replaces the DAC in a system. I would recommend considering AIO Triangle as a Streamer for more expensive setups, and S10 for entry-level, bedroom, or bedside setups where having a simple DAC with a simple AMP or even active speakers is fun and feasible.

This will most certainly benefit those who are looking for a device that can contribute to their 2nd or 3rd setup – one that they may use when having company over, or for some much-needed rest and relaxation. Moving onward, I couldn’t afford the bluesound but I could afford this and I’m over the moon. It’s worth a try at that price especially when you can use it elsewhere in your house to access your music. I bought the S10 a few weeks ago and have to say I’ve been delighted with it. I use it mainly for occasional Spotify listening through my stereo, or for Podcasts and the odd flac file for albums I’ve ripped to listen to on the move. All of this comes from a Samsung S10 phone.

Easily Stream Your Audio Wireless

Where the S50 Pro worked best for me was when doing stereo duties in the living room’s AV system. Connected directly to a power amp fed via RCA analogue from an Android TV box and WiFi for Internet, it found substantial use via Spotify Connect and enhanced the sound of every TV programme I was watching. The S10 is a wireless streaming preamplifier with network and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity using your phone or tablet. In other words, For file compatibility, they do FLAC, MP3, AAC, ALAC, APE and WAV files, up to a high 24-bit/192kHz resolution! On top of that, they also support Apple AirPlay, DLNA, UPnP, Spotify Connect and Qplay. Both are also WiFi-enabled and there’s also a free Apple and Android control app (called 4Stream) available. Also available are LAN and USB inputs (but for pen drives only, not HDDs) as well as Bluetooth connectivity (aptX HD on the S50 Pro). This quirk made using USB storage quite inconvenient, but the way everything was handled properly when the phone storage is used leaves some hope that it can be fixed with future app updates. It is a multi-room device as well which means you can stream with multiple units connected in the same network. How it works
