Instead of using a regular leather cleaner, your best bet for cleaning your Alcantara surfaces is using products like the Sonax Upholstery And Alcantara Cleaner. This is specially formulated with Alcantara in mind and will not damage your surfaces.

Spray water or your selected cleaner on the detail brush or cloth. Spray the fabric as a last resort. The goal should be to use as little cleaner as possible while cleaning the stain. If the condition isn’t too bad, you might be able to revive your Alcantara trim with just a brush and a cloth (we’ll get to them later), but if the situation is especially dire - or you just want a thorough clean - an Alcantara surface cleaner is where to start.

Alcantara is a brand name of a suede-like, synthetic alternative (other versions of synthetic suede exist, namely microsuede or ultrasuede). It shares many of the same characteristics of natural suede, but rather than coming from a cow hide, Alcantara is made from a blend of polyester and polyamide (the same materials that make up microfiber towels). By using the lemon juice in conjunction with clean water, which has a neutral pH of 7, you create a solution that is a weak acid, allowing the water to dissolve materials that are not normally soluble in neutral water. And because lemon is considered to be a “natural” product, it is often lumped in as part of a water based cleaning and not listed as a “cleaner.” Last but not least, leather cleaner is versatile. This means that you can use it on various car interior materials, not just Alcantara. So, for example, you can use leather cleaners on your leather or vinyl dashboards and other plastic surfaces. Make sure the day is going to be dry and warm (never do it on a rainy day), also work in a well ventilated area with the car doors open.
