About this deal

Emily needs to Marry and fast, her mother is expecting her husband to be there at Christmas but there's a problem, she's not actually married.

After a lot of persuading Sam agrees after all he will have a roof over his head and food in his belly. When I started reading this book I couldn't imagine what would happen in this story, and after a few pages I was loving the characters and enjoying this so-particular plot. An element of a culture or system of behavior that may be considered to be passed from one individual to another by nongenetic means, especially imitation. He’ll go one to the other while one of my friends video tapes and the other friend will play acoustic guitar. I curled up on my love seat with my hot cocoa and enjoyed every bit of this book, great Holiday read! Fans of Jo Thomas, Catherine Walsh and Philippa Ashley will love this heartwarming read from Carla Burgess.

It's just a few days until Christmas and to finally put a stop to her nagging mother's matchmaking plans, Emily has convinced her that she's already married! surely not desperate to pluck a homeless man off the street, clean him up re clothe him and present him to her mother as her husband. Fans of Debbie Johnson, Holly Martin and Christie Barlow will love this heartwarming read from debut author, Carla Burgess ‘Funny and romantic, with a predictably good ending. Carla Burgess works her wonders and has the reader become immersed in a world that is so realistic you think you are watching a reality tv show. She just wants to get through Christmas pretending she has a husband and then tell her mum it's all over. After all, with a title like 'Marry Me Tomorrow', how can anyone let that go by them without reading it? It wasn’t a good enough reason to let a stranger into her house and for most of it she resented her dad anyway.

The act of inflicting harm and the subsequent suicide ("stick the barrel to your head") suggest a toxic and destructive dynamic between the couple. And when her excited mum announces that she's coming to stay, Emily can think of only one man to play the part: gorgeous ex-soldier, Sam. Every time we go see a movie I take my polaroid with me and get a picture of him with the tickets or next to the poster so that we can have the memories recorded. Also, her travel guide to Moraitika and Messonghi in Corfu and the Greek recipes are unmissable if you love all things Greek!I'll admit, I surrendered to this book and became its page mistress after reading the first couple of pages! I’d been writing a short story about a homeless boy at the time, and the idea for Emily asking homeless Sam to pose as her husband while her mother visits stemmed from there. I just love him and I'm so proud of him and I want the whole world to know how amazing my best friend is. A delightful Christmas read that will pull at your heartstrings and make you believe in happy endings.
