About this deal

I haven't taken her with me on any of my really long training runs, but once I took her on a medium training run, 6 miles, and when we got home she was not even panting slightly, she imidiatly started running around playing with the other two. Do not pick the one that ‘runs over to you’ and is most active - with a breed like collies, you want a more chilled puppy.

He's apparently very well trained but it might complicate the cat-integration a bit - plus moving him from more of a city to a very rural background. My long and lanky boy just stretches out most all the time, often with one hind leg a little bit in front of the other. He goes to work with me three days a week, rides shotgun when I run errands, is always by my side when I'm home whether inside or out in the yard. Other facets of the injury will not be visible on the x-ray unless the injury is in the chronic stage, whereby mineralization of the tendon may be evident. Our cat has no problem in being a bully, if the cat wants something and the dog is in the way, the dog moves, simple as! I know Jin can do a couple of miles but he's so high energy I have to be careful with him especially when the temp is over 90. The side sploot: In this pose, the dog sticks one hind leg out to the side while his other remains nestled near his body.

In my experience, first running has to become a habit and then once you get used to going out regularly and are fitter, you can then look for nicer places to run, new stretches of road/trail, different routes etc and some of that newness becomes enjoyable. The girl was the complete opposite - loving, obedient, would herd anything and everything if she was allowed but learned quickly when she shouldn't. I've tried a few different feed brands, and settled on Wilsons of Dundee - it's not heavily processed, so looks like muesli, rather than vague cubes, and the dogs hoover it.

Every Satuday we used to hide bones from the butcher around the garden, she loved the game and would spend ages sniffing out the treasure. I even set up agility jumps behind the apartment sometimes (and make a fool of myself) but she enjoys it. Some are not really friendly to other dogs so can actually be a quite isolating dog as you may find they are happier avoiding dog encounters. If your daughter is happy to support the dog as much as it supports her it may work but your daughter may find herself in a caring role rather than supporting.

Getting dogs to make their own good choices is a whole other blog… but what I’m trying to say is that nagging just doesn’t work.YES there are still annoying people who you want to throw the contents of your dogs poo bag at – but lets not let it effect our day and our mindset. To be honest i would prefer her to do Hoopers because we would eventually be able to compete together and i already have some hoops at home for beginner training. Other classic signs that can start with bloat or a blockage is either vomitting soon after eating or trying to be sick and nothing coming up (unproductive vomitting) but if he isnt eating then this may not apply anyway. Our big exercise is we do 1 1/2-2 1/2 hours at least of walking daily on campus where there's a ton going on.

It would be a different story if we weren't at home all the time as he craves attention and loves to play all the time. Because of this finding, surgery will be the option when there is irreversible damage to the muscle or tendon.I told myself I'd carry on until I enjoyed it (out of stubbornness more than anything) and would then review the situation at that stage. The shepherds keep Patou dogs to protect the flock from wolves, and these dogs can be quite aggressive to any but the most well behaved dogs. We live in the French Alps, and have a lot of enclosed and open space around us, and we both work from home and so have a lot of flexiblity when it comes to training and walks and stuff. Hi Sam, great post, I had bad start to day with Star today, meeting family member today who has the perfect dog and wascalreading thinking of what I was going to say when they asked if Star was any better, thought would try to take Star out early in morning avoiding traffic. I decided to give him 1 hour of off-leash running in the woods and about 1 hour walk around our neighborhood every day.
