About this deal

Covering history, practices, memorable characters and much more, this immersive companion to Ransom Riggs' bestselling Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children series is an absolute must-have for passionate fans.

This article covers a subject that is part of the real world, and thus should not be taken as a part of the Peculiar Children universe. This book is very 'pick-up-able, ' and unlike with the main series, no prior context is needed to read it.Gloriously rich and utterly delightful, Miss Peregrine’s Museum of Wonders is an indispensable guide to the peculiar world, perfect for longtime fans and new listeners alike. Last but not least, i finished only yesterday but i resume to reading it again to find all points for fanfiction ect because theres so much. Gloriously rich and utterly delightful, Miss Peregrine’s Museum of Wonders is an indispensable guide to the peculiar world, perfect for longtime fans and new readers alike.

Ransom Riggs grew up in Maryland and Florida and is a graduate of the film school at the University of Southern California. I read the first three books in Miss Peregrine's a long time ago and was absolutely in love with them, but the second trilogy didn't feel the same for me. od svojeg hobija -skupljanja starih i čudnovatih fotografija po buvljacima- riggs je napravio dobar i, vjerujem, unosan posao.

Some sections felt like I was forcing myself to read it for school while other sections were so enjoyable that I wish they would’ve been longer. Just be careful looking at anything involving Jacob and his grandfather ahead of reading all the books bc you might read a spoiler. As such it does not read linearly but rather as a series of articles covering a wide range of topics. This book doesn’t provide too much new information and it doesn’t add on to the plot of the main series.

But I loved reading the lore and information about the world simply because I love world building, and the structure of this one made it especially entertaining. Miss Peregrine’s Museum of Wonders can easily be read as a standalone or an introduction to the peculiar world …. This is a very detailed and fascinating guide into the peculiar world of the “Miss Peregrine” series that I have devoured from page to page. I always love when a series releases a sort of guide to the world and some parts of it, so this was perfect for me.I love a good guidebook as much as anyone who’s as obsessed with world building as I am, and this one was really fun! The whole chapter on the Loops could have been scratched though (not because it was bad, but because no matter how much explanation there is or what the system being explained is, I will never understand time travel! Thank you so much Goodreads and Ransom Riggs for the hardcover copy of Miss Peregrine's Museum of Wonders! The addition of Miss Peregrine’s comments and notes to Jacob made it tie in with the series in a fun way, so I’m glad I read it immediately after finishing the series. Some of my other favorite parts (though they were brief) were the pages mentioning famous peculiars that include some famous people from the real world, as well as the section that describes why photographs are so important to peculiars. That being said, there is no real story here it is just more lore and peculiar world building so if you have not already read the Miss Peregrine’s series do NOT start here because there will be spoilers for the larger series, and you won’t have a connection to the characters and so the fun footnotes from Miss Peregrine will lose much of their charm. Some of they entertaining others really just fleshing out aspects hinted at in the books (and film) but all if interest and creatively presented. I have loved writing stories and taking photographs and making movies ever since, and have endeavored to do all three.

However, the add-on books (peculiar Tales and this book) that have come out in recent years have been pretty fun. Normals fear what they do not understand, and fear is a cancer that can quickly metastasize into hatred and violence (page 110). A guidebook to the peculiar world for fledgling members, with notes about the variety of peculiar abilities, techniques for blending in with normals, and other helpful features.
