About this deal

Director Zack Snyder brings his usual bombastic flair but manages to deliver the sort of comic book adaptation fans love to watch and will hopefully serve as the beginning of a new franchise.

Look no further than the opening sequence on Krypton as General Zod's coup d'état erupts into an all-out war. The video colours don't particularly pop off the screen since Zack Snyder for whatever reason decided to make this look really muted and cold. Clark Kent, one of the last of an extinguished race disguised as an unremarkable human, is forced to reveal his identity when Earth is invaded by an army of survivors who threaten to bring the planet to the brink of destruction. For all intents and purposes, the transfer does not appear to have been color graded to take advantage of the wider color gamut since the palette doesn't seem all that much different than the Blu-ray. Amy Adams manages to do something unexpected – make her Lois an active, important participant in the story, who’s also the key to Crowe’s Jor-El remaining active in the story too. Don’t expect no huge Justice League tie-in like they did for Avengers in all the latest Marvel films.

Today, the movie superhero is no longer a comic caricature, but a flesh and blood character, almost human, struggling with grave moral demands that adults can appreciate.A good 10 or 15 minutes could have been trimmed from the film’s theatrical running time, particularly from the second half, which is a series of set-piece battles that form a protracted climax of destruction. Try watching this film for what it is, rather than what it’s not, and you may see something truly special. The Bold New Take on The Beloved Classic “The Color Purple” Debuts on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD March 12th! Unfortunately – and this is a massive strike for this release – it doesn’t include Disc Two of the previous Blu-ray edition, which contained the lion’s share of the extras. Zack Snyder directs this action adventure feature, produced by Christopher Nolan and based on the DC Comics hero.

Just like in real life, an explosion will blind you in this one and they’re all accurately rendered here in my opinion. I still have to say this is my second best Superman movie, and for an obvious reason which many of you may agree with me.One of the reasons that Man of Steel works so well, is that Henry Cavill disappears nicely into the title role, and absolutely owns it here. Giving the Snyder-Nolan-Goyer collaboration another step up over its Blu-ray counterpart is a fantastic, reference-quality Dolby Atmos soundtrack, yielding some amazing results that'll leave fans cheering for more audio upgrades.

Similarly, on earth, the key set-pieces offer the same kind of punchy thrills, as oil rigs explode and tornadoes tear through the town, making you wonder whether your own home is going to get ripped from its roots in the process. I never thought it was plausible or even possible after becoming so attached to those initial trailers, but I felt so emotionally detached, distant and deprived of any emotions here. They were outstanding and I wish I could have seen a hell of a whole lot more of them throughout without the hack job editing. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purp
