Laphroaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength (Batch 15) is a robust expression of Laphroaig's classic 10 Year Old, boasting a bold character and an impressive 56.Laphroaig 10 gets its distinctive taste from the natural features of Islay, the remote and rugged island off the West Coast of Scotland where the whisky is made. Aromas of new shoe leather, iodine, smoked trout, flowers, intense grain, soft cheese, peat-reek and dried seaweed. This is a truly classic single malt Scotch whisky, made from malted barley which is first cold-smoked and then dried over a peat fire. Ages in seasoned oak barrels that were charred prior to distillation, this dram features lovely oaky notes as well as nut and vanilla and coastal hints.
