In Colour went on to receive Grammy, Brit and Mercury Award nominations, reaching Gold status in the UK Official Charts, and it’s lead single ‘I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)’ featuring Young Thug and Popcaan is certified Gold in the USA.

There are some pops here and there but overall it sounds alot better than the single lp release I have. Two years later we made the move to our present address, 35 The Headrow, where we have remained ever since.As well as continued success with The xx (whose third album ‘I See You’ was released in 2017), Jamie released a new single ‘Idontknow’ in April this year, which has sold out on limited edition 12”. Jamie xx will release a remastered version of his debut album In Colour on 11th December 2020 on Young Turks. My only minor niggle is that a cd that is in a cardboard sleeve maybe could do with being sent out in sturdier packaging. With In Colour – a bold, celebratory, emotional record that features collaborations with The xx band mates Romy Madley Croft (“Seesaw” and "Loud Places”) and Oliver Sim (“Stranger In A Room”), Young Thug and Popcaan (“Good Times”) and Four Tet (“Seesaw”) – Jamie delivers his definitive artistic statement.

Jamie bought some records from me after he released this album and hopefully he sees all these reviews and takes note. Vinyl reissue of the acclaimed debut album from Jamie xx, features appearances from the xx's Romy Madley Croft and Oliver Sim, Four Tet, Young Thug, and Popcaan. We carry a broad range of CDs and vinyl (7”/12” singles and LPs) and specialise in indie, alternative, rock, punk, metal plus a few other genres.The songs have thick layers of sound and interesting chord progressions and continue to be rewarding on multiple listens. There's a ton of bass which I like but that definitely affects the quality of the recording as others have said. With his solo work, Jamie XX has gained recognition for his ability to blend genres and create mesmerizing electronic music. Good times" and "Loud places" are probably my favorite songs on the album, but there's not a disappointing track.
