Lexie may be marrying his crown prince brother Adam, who she has had a crush on since she was small. The story is about American heiress Lexie who eventually becomes engaged to Prince Adam whom she's had a crush on for most of her life. There’s humor as well as passion in this marriage-of-convenience story… and a twist that romance fans will probably see coming. When they were putting the bed together, fighting about putting the bed together, and talking about “surplus”, I couldn’t stop laughing.

It was decent and didn't make me hate it which kind of why I read these books so I clearly didn't go in predisposed to like it. I really enjoyed His Bride for the Taking it was fun, kind of seeing Rafe fight his growing feelings and fascination for Lexie. This novella was originally published in Rogues Rush In: a Regency Duet (2018), by Tessa Dare and Christi Caldwell It's the first rule of friendship among gentlemen: Don't even think about touching your best friend's sister. It's a typical Tessa Dare story - a hero who's a badass on the outside but turns to marshmallow fluff around the woman he loves, a heroine who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it, a side of general ridiculousness and hilarity, some swoon, and a happily ever after.

True, the groom is not anyone she was ever madly in love with, but it would create scandal for her while it would deflect off the runaway groom.

It was the first rule of friendship among gentlemen: Never, ever lay a hand on your best friend’s sister. Billionaire cattleman Kirk Deverill had offered her the job to help her keep her son, although the eligible bachelor hadn’t expected her to tell everyone she was also Kirk’s bride-to-be! His Bride for the Taking by Tessa Dare is an adult historical romance novella, originally published on May 22, 2018. But there had to be SOME conflict and it's hard to properly develop conflict in an 80-odd page novella, so I'll accept it.

He agreed to Vanessa’s ruse for her adorable son’s sake and for the opportunity to claim some “husbandly” pleasures. His Bride for the Taking is a historical romance novella about Mary Clayton and Sebastian, Lord Byrne. The perfect blend of funny and touching with well rounded characters and an unexpected twist at the end.

She believed that women should have the vote, that prisoners should have better rations, that war widows should have pensions. She was her own independent woman but Sebastian proved he was someone she could count on, and he recognized that she was her own woman. I think because by the time they were married and already well into the first couple days of their marriage, we know that Sebastian was madly in love with Mary but had that not been the case, I think I would have been more mad. Things seem to keep going from bad to worse on this ill-fated attempt at a honeymoon, but Mary is determined to make the best of it and to make her new husband her true husband despite his insistence that they take it slowly.

I then worked in finance in London for a couple of years, and in marketing back home in New Zealand. seriesSequenceNumber%> Wedding Party Collection: Marrying The Prince: The Prince She Never Knew / His Bride for the Taking / A Queen for the Taking? Tessa Dare is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of more than twenty historical romances. This novella was originally published in Rogues Rush In: a Regency Duet (2018), by Tessa Dare and Christi Caldwell It’s the first rule of friendship among gentlemen: Don’t even think about touching your best friend’s sister. Ames: Ok, usually I wouldn’t like shenanigans like Mary’s, but her and Sebastian were so good together, I didn’t mind.Sebastian comes up with a plan which could benefit her in many ways, and while she thinks him wanting to marry her is because he feels committed to her family, his motives actually have much more to do with only her. It’s the first rule of friendship among gentlemen: Don’t even think about touching your best friend’s sister. It might be squicky, but it I would guess it's more likely encouraged than not, especially if the brother is bestowing her hand.
