The biggest frustration was having to use the poorly designed app for accessing the data and changing settings on the dashcam.

Aperture 6 Elements Glass Lens,provide super clearer view than most other dash camera in low-light conditions. There are no other buttons, so unlike almost all other dash cams there’s no way to manually save footage – for example, if you witness a crash ahead and aren’t directly involved but want to gather evidence. This 1080p unit has only a 120-degree horizontal field of view, while the Halo Pro itself covers 140 degrees – those aren’t the widest angles you’ll find, but it’s enough to cover everything directly ahead and behind, and much of what’s off to one side as you pass it. Along with rear vent holes, there’s a single USB-C port on the back of the unit for the power cable. The video quality is excellent and I cannot fault that, however the storage of said footage makes it very difficult to access and replay, or to download if you needed to send footage to an insurer or law enforcement agency.In this day and age and with so many insurance scams going on this is a product you definitely need to ensure you have everything you need filmed and ready to send to insurance company in the event of an accident. As for the camera I am of the opinion that it is worth 5 stars for the quality of construction, image quality and ease of use, both in the App and directly on touch screen. Dash cams can be expensive devices, particularly if you add a rear-view module, but Road Angel’s Halo Pro seems very reasonable.

When the road imperfection was at the front tires of the truck I would start a timer, and would stop the timer when I would see it in the camera in the rear. The Haloview was intended to be installed across the top of the camper with the camera mount on the back and the transmitter to be on the front outside of the camper. There is no way to transfer data from the monitor to a computer or phone besides taking the memory card, microSD, out and putting it into my MacBook.The video is very good quality - 2K/1440p front and 1080p rear - and it's easy to scroll through to find a point in time from your journey. In the event of an accident, the recorded data might help you determine who was at fault and what exactly happened. I have a phone holder on the dashboard in my car so the cameras were set up and easily viewed by all in the car. Using an image of a phone to explain how to work the app made it appealing to read and easier to understand. After 15 minutes the camera will start taking a timelapse video and will start recording if it detects an event or movement (must be hardwired for this to be active).
