Sean Connery can be seen in the move with special cigarette gunmetal lighter that was designed by Dunhill. The frosted glass bottle references our motoring heritage with a subtle relief pattern inspired by car engine components. It is modernized, freshened up, but the same scent, or Would you rather have a "glorious vintage" 20 Years old who has lost half of it's presence because time is not gentle to fragrance if they are not storred right. The top note of of lavender, lemon develops into a middle note of coriander, nutmeg, basil, cardamon, and dries down to a base note made up of sandalwood, cedarwood, vetvier, amber and musk.

Although I began wearing it because my (then) boyfriend wore it and it reminded me of him, I have always found it very light and sensual, very modern and gender-neutral. IP has managed to ruin at least a dozen other fragrance lines for me, so I honestly expected this result, but again, hope springs eternal. Clove and oakmoss, slight citrus on top and the geranium and nutmeg so beautifully interwoven, this, for me, is a man who knows himself and is unapologetic in his chivalry and grace though knows how to be forceful and persuasive when needs be. Featuring both alluring aromatic scents as well as wonderfully woody concoctions, discovering that sophisticated fragrance for him is no hard task here. This aromatic fougere delights with a rich mix of lavender and nutmeg, then excites with a citrus explosion of bergamot and Amalfi lemon.A very nice perfume in the classic cologne style with citrus and spicy notes at the start and then dries down to woody vetiver and a tobacco note. Very mature, very masculine and versatile, uniqueness and leaving the memory to people who smell it. I have about a 1/3 bottle of the old version and it spreads its fragrance just passing by it without even moving the bottle. Dunhill Edition is a sophisticated fragrance for the man who craves quality in every aspect of his life.

not overpowering, always the perfect close smell, and the real original dunhill last forever and slowly works through your closet and bathroom and becomes your smell. Dunhill Edition is an aromatic, classic men’s fragrance created by the Perfumer Alain Astori for designer Alfred Dunhill back in 1984.They would give me the newer fragrances by Dunhill which are not bad, but they were not the original. The dominant notes for me are nutmeg and vetiver, though I could also smell geranium and a little lavender grounding this in the fougère genre. The evergreen woody accords of Virginia cedar and fir provide a strong and lasting base for the fragrance, while the balsamic note adds depth and richness to the scent. I would say this is more modern in profile than Guerlain Vetiver (which I also love) and it does not smell the same, but I could see it reminding people of Guerlain simply due to the Vetiver note, but they are quite different from start to finish. It's a shame, because I am certain you could reintroduce the original formula with a new name along with EDP, Elixir and Parfum versions and today's market would go nuts for them because the basic note combination still stands up.

Having said that all of that, IFRA changes during that time period may have altered the fragrance on some level as well. Edition is so unique, green soap like, herbal and has a maturity about it but very odd at the same time. Dunhill's popularity originally came from their motoring accessories, and Dunhill have continued to embrace the image of the boy racer, his foot never leaving the accelerator pedal. UPDATE: It is now Winter (December) up here in Minnesota and the scent is really smelling a lot better to me in this weather.Opening with bergamot and lavender, this masculine scent will have you feeling fresh and ready to conquer the world. If you ever find it you'll definitely understand what I mean that this fragrance is definitely unique and deserve the accolades. A terrific fragrance of professional presence and purpose, definitely one of my most favoured work scents.
