About this deal

Im struggling to find anything I didnt like about this book, maybe the twist that happens in the book was a bit shocking but, they way it was written and resolved is fantastic. Will Louis be able to keep this secret or will he have reasons of his own to inform Daisy that he knows? The insta-love between Daisy and Will worked for me when I thought for sure I knew how it would go; I was absolutely sure that she would realize that he was a sneak douche and serial mistress-keeper. Actually, one of my best friends IS a Will-type -- I love her anyway but she's a shit girlfriend/wife) eventually lands on earth when he either ends up not leaving his SO (Because it turns out that they weren't actually "unofficially broken up already" or weren't just keeping up appearances for his girlfriends cancer-ridden mom etc.

Unlike Toon’s other protagonists, Daisy, the main character, was often unlikable and her indecisiveness and over emotive traits irritated and annoyed me to no end. The best news of all though… The film rights for this book have been bought so we could one day be seeing it on the big screen! Firstly, how quick she falls for Will, with hardly any story there for us to believe in it, led to me not rooting for them at all (this may be due to the turn of events that go on to unfold, to be fair), and so I wasn’t captured initially. Since the author is clearly incapable of writing an American voice, she should have kept the character British since it would have had no impact on the plot what-so-ever. Some of the book had me cracked out laugh but it wasn't enough to make me change my mind about the rating. Not to add how terribly other characters, with the exception of Luis, the only insane one, fell in in love with Daisy and desired to be with her while he was treated like trash by her, is so over to me!

Normally I appreciate a plot that isn’t predictable, but this was just stupid -- and it's also the only element of the plot that wasn't predictable. As Daisy’s Nonna said, I though Luis better suited her than Will… I won’t tell you who Daisy does eventually end up in I’ll only say it’s a corker!

the mini story skips a head to 3 years after Wills death, Daisy’s nonna has passed away and she and Luis are spending New Years together in her nonnas old house her favourite place in the Italian hills. Then, the last third of the book where I actually was drawn into the story it seems to be really rushed and I found myself feeling left short by the abrupt ending.
