About this deal

Macro is a full-frame L-mount lens that's designed to be a medium telephoto, portrait and macro lens all-in-one. The four thirds system is supposed to make the cameras smaller, but the E-500 is one of the largest. The E-500 has 13 different settings for ISO and whilst a lot of these are stupidly close to each other to notice a difference, they may come in useful.

Furthermore, there's far more chromatic aberration -- in this case, purple fringing -- than we're used to seeing in a dSLR. Despite our few complaints, the Canon EOS 400D still shoots some very nice photos, with good colour rendition, broad dynamic range (when there's sufficient illumination), and accurate automatic white balance. Though the CMOS imager used by the 400D is the same physical size as the version in the 350D, Canon crammed more pixels into the space to bump up the resolution and improved the design of the microlenses that sit atop each photosite -- the microlenses gather indirect light and focus it back on the sensor -- as well as increases the size of the photosites themselves. and both are the DT range of lenses which are believed to be manufactured by Tamron as Sony also owns a stake in the lens company.some interesting tables that can be found here Just input a few distances, apertures etc and compare a few different makes. megapixels on the 400D), improved auto focus (nine focal points on the 400D rather than the 350D's seven) and a larger, 2. As far as features go, it is difficult to discern between the models as they are all built for the same market and purpose with the exception being the Olympus E-500 as it is a slightly older model and a slightly higher spec. Despite how it looks, the E-500 is actually roughly the same size as all the other cameras and is certainly not the biggest.

at 1/13 second and this has blurred the watch cover brilliantly and even sent the chain slightly out of focus.Quote: I see plenty of macro shots with a shallow depth of field, for example flowers use a shallow dof, focusing on the centre.

Noise is starting to show in low key which seems to disappear in ISO800 but boosts in the grey area. The screen also changes colour from white in Auto mode to black in Program modes which is a nice feature so you know you are in the right mode.

We've been using a full production version of this 120 fps sports camera, to see what you gain (and, perhaps, lose). LCD monitor and the eye proximity sensor just below the viewfinder to turn this off when composing your shot.

I'm a little confused as to why the ISO starts at ISO200, but the results from ISO200 are excellent. The highest ISO rating is ISO3200 and whilst the degradation of the image is apparent, detail still remains on the petals. However, a smaller sensor usually means more noise which may mean that in the Noise test, the Olympus may suffer more than the others at higher ISO ratings. In manual, the shutter is prioritised on the selector dial and the aperture button located just behind the shutter release has to be depressed to alter it.
