About this deal

The same looped signal was used throughout to ensure a very uniform input signal for comparison purposes).

An electronic on/off switch ensures noise-free operation whilst the LED shows the status of the battery life. I always had trouble having higher range bass guitar notes sit in the mix when using my sansamp bass driver Di on recordings. It's actually very similar to the Berhringer, which I guess was to be expected given that the Behringer is a LMB-3 clone. This amount includes seller specified domestic postage charges as well as applicable international postage, dispatch, and other fees. The Behringer, with the Ratio set at max (∞ to 1) and Threshold at min, did a pretty good job of significantly limiting the output, however there was still noticeable volume / signal getting through. We have also included a status LED for effect On/Off and battery check, and you can run your BLE100 on a 9 V battery or a DC power supply (not included). As the “enhance” is engaged (and even at min it’s not completely cut out) there is a small amount of tweeter hiss (which I suspect would be non-issue if your cab doesn’t have a tweeter) which increases as the enhance is increased. With all the other dials set at zero, I found that “unity” in terms of volume between by-pass and engaged had level at 4/10 and kept this level for the rest of the testing. Agreement; or (iv) your Agreement or relationship with an Organization (if applicable) or any third party. Setting the compression to max (∞ to 1), the Keeley managed to reduce the volume by the same amount as the Behringer with the Threshold at only -25 and then took things down to a pretty negligible volume by -50. I just put the Limiter on my MS-60B through its paces, I now understand why you thought the Beheringer threshold control were backwards - it's certainly the opposite way around the Zoom which has maximum limiting when the Threshold is also set to maximum. The dedicated LEVEL, ENHANCE, RATIO and THRESHOLD controls provide easy and intuitive sound shaping. With the Behringer Bass Limiter Enhancer BLE400 dynamics effects pedal you can add the same velvety finishing touch to your bass guitar performances, both onstage and in the studio. It's important to note that anytime you start boosting treble, or really boosting at all for that matter, that you might get some noise. The BASS LIMITER ENHANCER BLE100 gives your playing that same velvety finishing touch by smoothing out inconsistent volume peaks. The Ratio knob controls the amount of compression while the Thresh knob controls when you want the compressor to kick in.

Compression effects can tend to make your guitar sound over-processed in some scenarios, and therefore the BLE400 bass limiter features an enhance control to add the perfect amount of pop. The take away from that for me (and I hope I have drawn the correct conclusion from this, although I’ll readily admit to still being a novice in my grasp of the technicalities of Limiters) is that the Keeley has a LOT more headroom in its ability to deal with signal spikes than the very much cheaper Behringer and this is a case in point where quality (easily) won the day. I suspect it was more likely my lack of clarity in my review above than the Behringer being backwards that's caused the confusion here. As the Threshold was reduced from 7 to 0 the volume correspondingly decreased with a substantial reduction with a Threshold set at nil.

If a pedal doesn't sound good I won't use it, but on these setting, I honestly think there is a subtle improvement. The Behringer BLE400 Bass Limiter Enhancer Pedal is designed to gives bass guitarists a smooth overall sound, eliminating volume peaks. This means that loud signals are turned down and softer sounds are turned up, so they more closely match each other.

This pedal has a small amount of his when you roll the enhance knob past 75%, or the ratio knob to infinite. This dedicated Enhance control lets you dial in just the right amount of sparkle, without giving your bass that over-processed or brittle sound. With 'Threshold' set at min (for max overall compression) this managed to cut the volume = -30 on the Keeley scale (max = -50 on the Keeley). I've tried it into an amp, through a lengthy pedal chain, straight into a mixer, and everywhere in between.Je to klasika efekt pre basaka, za 9 euro aj original napajaci zdroj, lepsie nez kupovat 9V baterky. The enhance feature emits a very noticeable "hiss" beginning at about a 10 o'clock setting that gets louder the more it is turned clockwise.
