I cannot recommend this book more, it is absolutely phenomenal and easily one of my favorite books I've read. I think this was the perfect choice for us, and I loved discussing our thoughts, theories, and just mutually falling in love with these characters. There's even a map inside which I shamefully forgot all bout because of the magnificence of the story.

Our lovebirds’ first encounters are not very romantic; he tortures her until she passes out, she comes up with cruel ways to end him - that sort of thing.

We’re never shown any dystopian world where people live in rags because the celestials destroyed everything.

I love Ruthie's narration and how it brings the book alive I can't wait for the second one to come out! She's has a mouth of a sailor and cocky attitude, where he's trying to keep gentlemen manners and not be hot headed.Some paragraphs repeat within pages of each other, word for word like she just copied and pasted them.
