About this deal

The poor little things, and the PCB got damaged, and I suppose that means I'LL have to bodge leads on for traces, but that would be good practice. Slightly modified the circuit, using only a 1 kΩ pull-up resistor on the NMOS NOR gate, and pulling it up to +5V instead of +3. There is a raft of counterfeit Hakko stuff out there in addition to the clones and unless you are absolutely sure that a comparison was done against a genuine product, it probably isn't a review worth considering. It uses a special handpiece made of aluminum and the station and stand are all metal construction nothing matches it for a couple of hundred bucks.

We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. Additionally, it will show some of the T15 Series tips, provide the various accessories and replacement parts available. It comes supplied with the FM2028 soldering iron which is an easy to use lock type iron which allows for quick and easy switching of tips. Despite its highly compact design, the tip offers superior thermal responsivity and greatly improved thermal recovery.Quote from: Tarloth on September 03, 2019, 06:24:23 pm I go for the option of a 951 or a new Metcal without any doubt. I can't compare it to systems I haven't tried, but I have tried 'clone' tips and they just sucked compared to the OE Hakko. We apologize for the previous misdescription in the HAKKO FX-952 Instruction Manual, which has been corrected. Can be used in combination with the HAKKO 490 (Discontinued) smoke cleaner or the HAKKO 494 smoke absorbing system for line-production.

Same recovering and perhaps in Pace worst tip to PCB transfer but nothing to blame to Pace itself, I have in my hakko biggest tip that I did have in the Pace demo and then notice better response in my Hakko than in the PCB but not using the same tip. Anyway, yours is not the only complain I read (I got to read quite a few when trying to figure out why mine wasn't working), so I guess it's a gamble. I've been bitten by a well regarded cheap soldering station before and regretted not spending a bit more on a decent and proven station. Not a fan of the digital interface, with a cumbersome button user interface replacing the intuitive analog temperature control dial. Can be used in combination with the HAKKO 490 smoke cleaner or the HAKKO 494 smoke absorbing system for line-production. T15 tips are used with the FM2027 and FM2028 Soldering irons used with stations FX951, FX952, FM203, FM204 and FM206.

I doubt you are going to get people argue against the benefits of a desoldering iron, if you are doing a large amount of desoldering it's a huge time saver. Although a relatively simple circuit, time spent including redesign, desoldering, soldering, troubleshooting estimated about 4 hours, a good test of using these new tools in a practical application for a serious project. Check the display after switching to the soldering iron number for the soldering iron that does not get hot. In my Hakkos or in the Pace that I test I set one temp and solder almost all of the components without compromise. The MCU was not properly soldered but that was easily fixable (took me a while to find the fault tho).
