Reading these reviews, either I don't have the product advertised, or I worry that the reviewers have never smelled vetiver. Performance of Malizia is moderate at best, but just as bad as the current watered-down Dunhill Edition, which costs at least 4 times more, making Malizia a much better bang for buck. The EdT smells fresh, the bergamot, which I also like to have in the (black) tea, does well and is the one that gives the fragrance the necessary (fruity-like) freshness. The One-Note-Fragrance introduces you to a fresh, soothing blast of (Haitian) Vetiver, with a slight hint of a subtle uplifting lemon-citrus impression. but as the perfumes settled, it continued to pour out nice whifs of v-magic(TM) as the hours went by.

Considering just how cheap this is it's hard not to reccomend it to anyone with even a passing interest in vetiver scents. While the only note identified on this site's perfume pyramid is vetiver, I detected additional notes: a light lemon top-note, and then the lightest hint of pepper on drydown.The fun part is you have to reapply it every now and then and I say that in a good way since it smells basic and yet nice. like taking a deep breathe of fresh mountain air while standing on the shore of a whitewater riverbank on a Spring day in late May.

As many have observed below, there is a 'heaviness' or 'smokiness' to this atypical of a 'straight down the line' vetiver. This is a very herbal Italian soliflore vetiver fragrance with only the note of green, herbal vetiver and little else. So if the deodorant were now a forest, the EdT would be a somewhat dusty forest, as in the comparison of two identical paintings, one of them dust-covered or in the study of identical twins, one of which leaves the house without sunscreen, it would get away worse.I have found that it's preferable to spray this onto my shirt to get more than three hours out of this. Simple,chic,casual,assertive,green, masculine,intense,bright,effervescent,tropical forest,memories of vacation and summer time. But, on my skin it becomes extremely smoky, and I don't mean incense from church, I mean drinks with the guys at the bar.

If you wear it, you may think it would'nt last long or doesn't project that much but I've learned it's not true. This is great stuff nice vetiver scent but the bottle in the picture above is the reformulation I have the 100ml bottle with the black ovale cap this is the one you need to get but hard to find, it has excellent projection and longevity, the new one so so. The woody notes of Vetiver are combined with the spicy, slightly bitter Bergamot, creating a captivating herbal veil. The only compliment on a fragrance I received from a total stranger was for the cheapest fragrance I own.

LITTLE TIP : The new formulation I find lacks power get the Malizia Uomo vetyver After Shave Balm and then apply the Edt and it will help the performance. Fragrance houses often update packaging/bottling (whilst leaving the fragrance INTACT), or alternatively, update the fragrance, without altering the presentation. This one though, no matter where I try to place it, it just doesn't seem to work, I honestly just can't find any appreciation for it.

IT has no longevity and little sillage, BUT it's very inexpensive, so you could spray it all day long and it won't harm anyone. It only comes in 50ml, so you can tell it's made to be chucked into a gym bag or beach bag, which explains why the bottle is so bloody hideous.
