About this deal

Loren: Yes definitely as they are such great value and do exactly what you expect them to do. Considering how active my baby is now, they moved well with her body. They were easy to put on and to dispose of. I am not overly keen on the pattern but that wouldn’t put me off buying them again in the future. Would you choose this product above all others on the market? Katie: Yes, I already have. I find these nappies a lot softer than other nappies we have used. There were less leakages which means they are more cost effective and comfortable for my baby. I would most definitely recommend the Mamia nappy to my mummy friends because first and foremost it offers super absorbency, my son can wear his nappy for over 12 hours at night and we've not had any leaks. The fit is really comfortable on my 6 month old, not leaving any marks and not irritating his sensitive skin. Alice: To use more compostable or biodegradable materials within the product. If the reliability of the nappy was maintained with this incorporated it would be unbeatable.

Although the Aldi Mamia nappies are good quality and have lots of good features for example, re-sealable fasteners and that they are lasting and very good price per nappy, I prefer the Pampers Sensitive nappies as I feel they felt slightly better and fitted my baby better around her legs. Although the Pampers nappies are more expensive than the Mamia range I felt that the price is justified by the quality of the nappy. The price is so accessible for parents compared to other brands on the market and they offer the best absorbency and comfort for both our boys.

Tested by mum Kirsty Beacock for the Mother & Baby awards 2018:

Lidl claims its Lupilu nappies have magical air tubes with absorbent channels in the core to keep your baby dry for up to 12 hours (eight hours for the newborn range). They have soft fleece and an elasticated waistband for a comfortable fit. Its nappy range covers sizes one through to six, with three additional plus sizes.

I like the comfort and protection these nappies gave my little boy. Each nappy provided me with the assurance of leak-free nights and a better sleep for baby. The price is also very competitive, compared to other supermarket brands, and much cheaper than Pampers. I hope this product wins because it exceeds all expectations in comfort, protection and price. Here they are, side my side. Aldi’s Mamia to the left and Pampers to the right. They look quite similar here, size-wise at least.

You can resell them or keep them if you’re planning to have more children in the future. And you can buy second-hand. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes and some also come with a disposable or a washable liner which you use to collect your baby’s poo. Mamia Nappies have a contoured design, are dermatologically tested, hypoallergenic and provide comfort night and day for up to 12 hours.” Tested by mum Katie Roast for the Mother & Baby awards 2018: The Mamia nappy brand does everything you need it to do and more. When having a young baby, you go through lots of nappies, so the last thing you need to be worrying about is how much they cost. Aldi Mamia nappies are so much cheaper than most of the others you can buy from other supermarkets. But not only are they cheap, they are good quality, fit baby well and we have had virtually no leaks. They are just as good as the expensive brands, if not better and that is brilliant! We spoke to these real parent testers to get their review... How did this product make your life easier? We go with Aldi nappies every time! I used them from newborn to size 6+ with my son, and am now using them again with my daughter. They are great value for money and, in my opinion, are better than some of the more expensive brands.” Reusable nappies have come a long way since terry squares. Poppers, velcro or plastic clips are used instead of pins and they often come as a one-size nappy which will fit for several years. There are a range of colourful and cool designs from brands available too. Reusable nappies are also chemical-free and, long-term, work out cheaper than disposables.
