idk i just feel like the characters aren’t fully developed and shown in all these different lenses to make them more likeable and complex to me. You're just as likely to encounter a "Normie" (non-magical) as you are a Witch while getting your morning coffee. With so many characters that want different things from this leading lady she’s in a tough position.Instant attraction between Marcus and Winter, was ok, but could have develed into the reason and repercussions/benefits of cross species mating/bonding more. As fans of Frost's novels will know, as well as romance, there is also more to her stories,, and in this book, it's a life long feud betweeen Mencheres and Radjedef, law gaurdian (vampire cop in other words) and powerful vampire.
