Driving Question: Trying to solve the question of " Why did Omni-Man kill the Guardians?" is a major plot point. Unlike many other superhero stories, Invincible is a complete tale. It offers character progression, and plots that get resolved. Sure, there are all the explosives you'd expect when someone dons a super suit, but don't expect for each episode to hit the reset button. The events of the earlier episode truly matter to those that come later. Avengers Assemble: The first episode ends with the various members of the Guardians of the Globe called away from their lives to assemble at their headquarters, where they are all killed by Omni-Man.Adaptation Expansion: Several elements that never happened in the comics get shown off in the show. Donald realizing he's an android was entirely off-screen in the comic, while here the first half of Season 2 devotes significant screentime for the mystery behind his resurrection. The Coalition of Planets: A collection of races gathered together to stand against the Viltrumites. Required Secondary Powers: Many superheroes (such as Red Rush, Omni-Man and Invincible) saved civilians with their superspeed, but because of the whiplash, they should be deader than Gwen Stacey, so either they somehow can nullify momentum or it's a Plot Hole introduced by the writers not giving a damn about such trifles.
