About this deal

Colour—and finding the exact pigments to use—is a constant preoccupation, yet it is equally important for him to capture the essence of the landscape and the people who inhabit it. Every monitor or mobile display has a different capability to display colours, and every individual may see these colours differently. If you paint over new render, 1 litre of Lime wash paint will cover between 7-10m² (75-107ft²) per coat, depending on the surface texture and level of absorbency. A story filled with intrigue and secrets as well as colour, Damian Dibben's new novel is filled with vivid descriptions .

The Colour Storm is set during the Italian renaissance, a time of art and creativity but also violence and treason. If you do not want to see such repairs it is necessary to equalise the absorbency across the entire surface, otherwise they might ''ghost'' through after painting. I'm not sure non-art fans will make it through the first 250 pages, which should have been half the length.Clean up with water, you can add a little bit of soap, or if you had a larger spillage you can also use some diluted vinegar (test your surface first). When it is bounced or rolled from hand to hand, the beads sway and swirl within the moving liquid to create enchanting torrents of colour.

But, in this the colour ascends simplicity and is brought to life with such stunning imagery and description. The premise was interesting and Zorzo was a delightful character who I was immediately able to get behind. Overall, I was fascinated by the colourful descriptions and the portrait of what life was like in Venice in the 16th century that Dibben evokes in The Colour Storm – but for me I feel the story itself was a little bit lost and didn’t feel completely satisfactory. The writing is so assured, so fluent, it was like being on a gondola in Venice yourself, being pushed smoothly along the water. You get a real sense of his passion for his work and offers an interesting insight into the way in which artists work.

In nature, in the magnificent edifices of Venice, in fabrics and in the faces of the people, and of course in art. Burza kolorów” to z pewnością niezwykła opowieść, która nie tylko bawi wizją magicznego świata kolorów, ale także prowokuje do refleksji nad naturą sztuki, miłością i ludzką egzystencją. This intriguing, if slightly heavy handed, story begins with Giorgione (or Zorzo as he is known in the book) struggling with debts and in need of commissions to help pay the bills – but in Venice, competition is high until he hears of a mysterious and valuable colour pigment that could help make his name as an artist. My heart sank a bit when I started to grasp the direction of the story, but the writing was so good that I was pulled into it against my assumptions, and really quite enjoyed it. Art historians have spent centuries trying to make sense of his enigmatic depictions, suffused with a misty light that seems to have drifted straight off the lagoon.
