About this deal

I read them again and again, these are to replace the ones that have gone missing and/or now have loose pages. A sadistic killer stalks teenage girls and malicious mischief and threats of harm start to pile up against Jenna. The 'romance' and laughable sex scenes are completely out of place in this book, and feel as if they have been written by a completely different author and slotted in. I can't give Have You Seen Her the same accolades as I've given the other Rose books, minus Nothing To Fear. Special Agent, Neil, deserved the girl, not Thatcher, and Jenna should have stuck to her conclusion that Thatcher would always be suspicious of any man who so much as spoke to her.

I enjoyed the way that the relationship developed between the hero and heroine, Jenna Marshall, and even though Steven Thatcher made serious mistakes in his interactions with Jenna, it wasn't difficult to sympathize with him due to insecurities caused by his past. She's very different from Karin Slaughter, whose books I've read most recently, but I nonetheless like her writing. The two meet in less than ideal circumstances and while neither of them is looking for a relationship, the attraction between them is undeniable and they end up tentatively dating. Not only is there a serial killer of teenage girls on the loose, but Steven's own teenage son Brad is suddenly acting up and failing at school. Jenna may be a very nice person, but underneath it all, she's a tough-as-nails lady with a brown belt in karate. The story unfolds with a twist… which makes one realise how a good author can wind a reader around her/his finger.

That seemed like a rather dumb move for such a smart man, and I couldn't help but side with her when she temporarily broke off their relationship because of it. A former high school teacher of chemistry and physics, Karen lives in Florida with her husband of more than thirty years. And then accusing the hero of not trusting her (which was true), yet her behavior suggested she didn't trust him either.Rose certainly made me second guess myself several times, making the journey to discovering his identity enjoyable. He also has a tumultuous family life to deal with, including three troubled sons, and a matchmaking aunt. Soon Jenna and Steven are falling for each other, though they tread cautiously as both carry hidden wounds of their own.
