About this deal

We don't as a general policy investigate the solvency of companies mentioned (how likely they are to go bust), but there is a risk any company can struggle and it's rarely made public until it's too late (see the Section 75 guide for protection tips). It’s absorbent clay filling moulds to fit snugly, soaking up water from windows and doors, leaks and spills – and even wicking moisture from damp air. He's also used clear silicone on both sides of the DW, between the adjacent units so I imagine this was his way of stabilising it (I was wondering why that had been done).

No, i said that a thermal barrier should have been fitted to the underside of the worktop above the dishwasher.I've had my kitchen fitted a while back and never got around to using the dishwasher as I've not had one before so I delayed using it.

I'm assuming that I will have to choose the new laminate from Howdens which grieves me because I've looked at B and Q worktops for example and they have a better quality worktop that is not showing exposed chipboard underneath. I bought a replacement drainage pump for my tumble dryer and it was delivered earlier than expected. Your model number will be a combination of letters and numbers, sometimes separated by a dash (-) or a slash (/). This is a adhesive protection strip to apply to the edge of your work surface directly above the dishwasher door to help try to prevent any condensation damaging the worktop. I was going to mention that JJ, but given the fact that the D/W doesnt appear to have been fitted correctly, I have my doubts that the sink cut-out will have been sealed correctly either !You must let the D/W cool down sufficiently on its own with the door closed as this aids in the drying process of the dishes / crockery. If you can't find it there, you'll need to check the side panels and the back - be careful not to rip the flooring as most dishwashers don't have wheels.

I've looked at B and Q worktops for example and they have a better quality worktop that is not showing exposed chipboard underneath. I've taken some pictures of the underside of the worktop to show what it looks like with the sink drainer's cutout, Would the condensation strip be attachable properly or would this area need some other type of additional protection? The protective strip that was sent with your Dishwasher MUST be fitted to the underside of the worktop. If ,as it appears, there is no worktop to fix to on the RHS due to the sink cutout, then a small section of timber could have been fitted under the drainer to allow a screw to be fixed to it.Howdens have agreed to replace the worktops but i dont want the same thing happening again so I need to find out a few things first. So should they have sealed the underside of the worktops at all to protect from water and steam damage?
