WS AUDI-TECH-LP120XBTUSB-BLK 299.

We designed the LP120XBT-USB with you in mind, eliminating the need for expensive amps or convoluted speaker setups. Simply download the free Mac and PC recording software Audacity (or other programme of your choice) and begin converting your records to digital audio files. As it stands resolute, improving standard turntable norms with its modern features while paying homage to the timeless vinyl culture, this Hi-Fi piece is a must-have addition for both hardcore audiophiles and casual listeners. That half-century’s worth of analog expertise goes into every turntable we produce, ensuring you get the best listening experience from your vinyl. And because a Bluetooth turntable wirelessly streams its output to a receiving Bluetooth-ready device, there is no need for any unsightly cables to get in the way.And with the variable pitch slider this deck can be used in a two-turntable DJ set up for accurate beat mixing. While we have seen the advantages of connecting a turntable to a 'wireless' music system - just like that of Sonos - this still ultimately involves a cable running from the turntable to the receiving Sonos speaker, such as the Sonos Five or the Sonos Port. While retaining notable features like its die-cast stroboscopic platter, playback pitch control and USB connectivity, Audio-Technica upgraded their turntable with a list of new features: a quieter DC servo drive motor, an uprated phono pre-amp and a fully-revised anti-skate control mechanism are to name only but a few enhancements.

At first glance, the AT-LP120XBT-USB looks the part – it owes more than a little to the legendary Technics SL1200/SL1210 where aesthetics are concerned. Reliable, simple to use and immensely convenient, it's no wonder that Audio-Technica now implements this technology into their successful AT-LP60XBT and AT-LP120XBTUSB turntables. This would save on wiring, more equipment (in a small cottage) and would link nicely with my (already purchased) expensive soundbar.Sink into your comfiest chair and wirelessly enjoy over half a century of Japanese audio engineering and sound excellence. Alternatively, you can connect via USB to a computer using the turntable’s audio interface, which is a handy option if you want to digitise your vinyl collection. If you want to drag your vinyl experience into the modern world, this is how to do it – and that's why we think the AT-LP120XBT-US deserves a place among the best turntables of 2021.

The USB also seems keener to spotlight vinyl surface noise than any of the other outputs – but, nevertheless, the facility to make digital copies of hard-to-find, easy-to-damage records is not to be downplayed. Love it Bluetooth for the win I don't really listen to vinyl, but I'm going through my late father's records so I decided to grab a turntable to remind me of the old days. I did it the wrong way first time and only got it right when I actually read the instructions (typical bloke! Or use the Bluetooth wireless technology to pair the turntable with wireless speakers, headphones or other devices, including those that support the high-quality Qualcomm aptX audio codec.

The X in the product title indicates that this is the updated model, introduced in 2019 to replace the original AT-LP120. Other than that, the LP120XBTUSB gives little away to suggest it has another string of audio connectivity added to its bow. Couple this with its variable speed control, and you have a turntable that gives you absolute command over your vinyl collection. The good news is you don't need to follow any additional steps to activate your extended 6-year warranty. With the basic features and sound quality already covered in our review of the AT-LP120XUSB, we won’t repeat ourselves too much here, but it’s worth a reminder of the versatility of the connectivity options.

From tonearm height and tracking force to anti-skate settings, every nuance of the listening experience can be tailored to perfection.

A built-in phono stage means you don't have to have a hi-fi or speaker with a phono pre-amp built-in - any AUX input will work fine. br>
Sleek yet robust
With its low profile design, the LP120XBTUSB is much sleeker than other semi-pro turntables.
