About this deal

There’s a big punch of fruit – melon and pink grapefruit – on the palate with honeyed malt and a touch of spice. You should also note that the picture images show only our serving suggestions of how to prepare your food - all table accessories and additional items and/or ingredients pictured with the product you are purchasing are not included. Greene King has launched four new beers that reflect the brewery’s 200 year-old history along with the far older history of its home town, Bury St Edmunds. Cascade is used in the copper and is joined with Centennial in the hop whirlpool, where the hopped wort is cleared of spent hops after the boil. Over 200 years has passed and we're still brewing in Suffolk; everything from traditional cask ales to stouts, lagers, pale ales and IPA's.

Level Head commemorates St Edmund, the original patron saint of England, who was beheaded by the Vikings in 869 AD and gave his name to Bury St Edmunds. This may affect nutrition and allergen information therefore you should always check product labels and not rely solely on the information presented here. A nod to the legend of our very own St Edmund, this hoppy, 4% IPA invites you to keep it steady, just like Eddie. Drinks will be chilled in 30-45 minutes and will be kept cold for several hours, especially if kept in the shade. Our hometown of Bury St Edmunds takes its name from King Edmund, the original Patron Saint of England and King of East Anglia.Brand new in the legendary craft beer range from Greene King, Level Head Session IPA is quite simply a perfectly executed, delicately balanced, sessionable 4% IPA. Our bins hold 18-24 bottles of wine or Champagne or 2-3 cases of lager when filled with ice and water. The story of St Edmund tells of the brave King Edmund who was killed by Danish invaders on 20 November 869 after refusing to denounce his Christianity.

The range includes Flint Eye, a dry hopped lager named after a Neolithic flint arrow head found in the town. Finally, the beer is “dry hopped” – the addition of fresh hops prior to packaging – with Centennial, Galaxy and Mosaic.

A nod to the legend of our very own St Edmund, beheaded by Vikings in 869, his head was miraculously reunited with its body by a ghostly wolf, and his sainthood assured. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. The aroma is hoppy, balanced between tropical and grapefruit notes, and at 4% it’s a truly sessionable beer. The story of St Edmund tells of the brave King Edmund who was killed by Danish invaders on 20 November 869 after refusing to denounce his Christianity. While we have taken care in preparing this summary and believe it to be accurate, it is not a substitute for reading the product packaging and label prior to use.
