About this deal

Add to that the fact that I've done it that way for the last 30-odd years and the other way round just looks wrong! Only when you bend your wrist down (so that your forearm makes a straight line, more or less, with your thumb) does the bottom part become larger. Yeah, there maybe a few missed ones, but I'm pretty sure the numbers (of MF in that hand orientation on official lego images) don't lie. I find that the design and articulation of human prosthesis very interesting, and would be very beautiful in LEGO form.

Special hands, such as pirate hooks in several different colours and boxing gloves have also been made. It is used to hold weapons (such as the Part x1740), objects and tools (such as a cup) or LEGO bricks. First, predict how much pressure the Robot Hand needs to lift the different objects without damaging them. I generally go the other way, just because I like the position of the utensil they are holding better with the hand upside down. Although many different types of hands are used today, the yellow hand remains a standard for the Town/ City Themes and other non-movie based original LEGO Themes.

BUT, the default for me is with the flat side up, so if the fig is emptyhanded the hand is flat side up. The pictures really don't do it justice; the articulation is pretty impressive and fun to mess with in person, and I think this model would be a great, eye-catching addition to anyone's desktop. I used dark red and light gray styling, largely because that's the color I had for the finger joints and then I decided to keep going with it for the rest of the model. It seems that having the large side up when they are holding a tool means that tool is 'active', but when the hands are upside down the tool becomes 'passive'. Sometimes an accessory just looks better or can be better positioned relative to the mouth or eyes of a minifig when you turn the hand around.

Visit our Minifigure Weapons section for a great range of firearms, shields, and weapons to ensure your minifigure is never caught off guard! I've always been confused as to what the "correct" orientation of a minifigure's hands is, particularly when holding utensils. The color of the plates really doesn't matter, and I think it would look better in a metallic silver. The loose LEGO is amazing, contains so many different elements for anyone bulking out their own collection.
