It's definitely not for everyone, but fans of this take-no-prisoners malt will accept no substitute.Expect notes of caramel, fruit and rose petal, balanced with hints of oak, leather and an unusually dry and nutty finish. The resulting dram is bursting with flavour - heather and pine cones with woody sea salt and floral notes on the finish. Where it differs from Tobermory whisky is that it is distilled from heavily peated malted barley, giving the liquid a highly distinctive, light yet smoky and peaty flavour.
