Björn moves between monasteries throughout his life as a monk and it was interesting to see how they were all so different. When the Dalai Lama adds his words to your frontispiece, I'm inclined to think it doesn't really matter how the rest of the world responds to your book. It’s not only laced with the most incredible wisdom, but it’s also gentle and beautiful and eloquent. The next important thing is something else he throws at us up front, and I am going to quote it in full because I can speak to the fact that it utterly encapsulates why you should read this book. The book cover has no visible wear, and the dust jacket (if applicable) is included for hard covers.

Not sure what I was expecting as this book was one I downloaded without much thought… i loved every page. I'd love a modern take on his thoughts in this book, plus new ones that have come about in over two decades since it was written. I was amused to read how difficult he finds meditation - if a monk finds it difficult, then it's perfectly okay if I struggle too! Although Bjorn becomes a Buddist monk, there isn't a heavy focus on Buddhism in the book, more about the texsts from the religion that he lea Irned from, and from which we can all learn.
