About this deal

I would honestly say that listening to the podcast and having this book is actually the best combination. This is an interesting in book about what it takes to be a high performance or high achiever person.

For a reader that is wanting to different perspectives of high performance (sport and business in the majority), certainly worth a read! We’ve worked with fashion brand Percival to create a capsule collection of wardrobe staples, that go with everything and make you look and feel ready for the day ahead. However, the book is mostly based on stories from sport-related careers and sometimes it is hard to make the connection to a working day in a normal office. After binging the first series over a weekend, really enjoyed the varying perspectives from many different career paths. I will regularly reread this to keep myself on the right track to being my best and in know that the lessons / tips in here will help me along the way.In 2011, he co-founded Whisper, one of Europe’s fastest growing independent production companies with over 100 staff. In this brilliant book Jake and Damian get to the heart of defining, creating, and inspiring the team around you , so you too can achieve high performance. It’s actually reduced my work anxiety by helping me focus on what I can control and what I am good at. Some of the sports/soccer references went over my head, but the overall main themes are very digestible, and the book is also quite actionable for individuals and teams.

A brilliant book, for anyone who wanted to create or have an understanding of a high performance Mindset - Behaviour - Culture. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. If this your first dabble into the “winner” genre, I’d recommend a note of caution before you start. I've worked in many organisations and it was fascinating to compare the different cultures I've worked under and as a future leader I took away some key nuggets from Tracey Neville, Rio Ferdinand and others about how winning cultures and team ethos are built. This book might be more targeted for men since most of the examples are about football/soccer and rugby. It will help every reader apply these insights to their own lives - so they can become high performers themselves.
