An alternate version of “Pitch the baby” was recorded and released on the Mute Records/4AD compilation “Red Tape. Road, River, and Rail” was included on the two-disc compilation that accompanied the 2013 book, Facing the Other Way: The Story of 4AD, by Martin Aston. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. The joy of Heaven or Las Vegas is that you don’t need to know what Fraser is saying (even if the few discernible lyrics are immensely personal) to fall into a stupor.

Its genius really as there have been so many songs i've loved and heard over the years and thought they meant something i actually heard or interpreted, only to be shown the lyrics and it was completely different, almost an anti climax.
It peaked at number seven on the UK Albums Chart and number 99 on the US Billboard 200, becoming the band's most commercially successful release.
