About this deal

The movie follows five best friends who have the night of their lives seeing their favorite boy band in concert and – 25 years later – reunite for one more epic show by their beloved band, to relight their friendship. It was directed by James Robert Moore, with choreography by Ian West, musical direction by Roxanna Shirley, arrangements by Steve Parry, set design by Steve Howell, costume by Carry On Costumes, sound design by Leigh Davies, video and lighting design by Ben Bull and associate direction by Grace Currie. The soundtrack was recorded by the cast of the upcoming film, out today (16th June), including Aisling Bea, Jayde Adams, Alice Lowe and Amaka Okafor. Howard Donald, Gary Barlow and Mark Owen attend the Cannes Film Festival in the south of France in support of Greatest Days, the musical movie inspired by Take That, featuring their songs. Four friends, who have not seen each other for 25 years, reunite after one of them wins tickets to a reunion concert of their childhood favourite band.

Cush has starred in Deadwater Fell and The Good Wife, whilst Rosamund is best known for her role in Gone Girl. Like the stage production, the movie follows four former schoolgirls who had their lives changed at a concert by their favourite boyband, and then reunite 25 years later to reminisce on their memories. Speaking about what people can expect from the film, Aisling Bea told us: "I think that especially post-pandemic, you know, kind of like by week four when we'd all run out of bananas to make bread with we were like, 'Right, I'll Google every single person I went to secondary school with.

Thanks to the lower budget, the cast members of this film are also more TV actors, but fortunately they still come across as friends and fans of the same Boyband. The band gave an exclusive performance on the night, giving audiences a taste of some of the upbeat songs included in the film. Take part in the Screen Test, a project from Radio Times and the Universities of Sussex and Brighton, to explore the role of television and audio in our lives. Following the successful reception of the documentary by fans and the press, the decision was made to reunite with the 'post Robbie' line-up and a 2006 tour titled the 'The Ultimate Tour' was announced. Regan Gascoigne - Paul Gascoigne's son and former winner of Dancing on Ice - plays one of the boyband members.Executive producers include Take That themselves, Damian Jones of DJ Films, Tobias Gutzwiller of SPG3, David Pugh and Dafydd Rogers who produced the original musical, and Joe Naftalin. For example, the people behind this film project had to manage the financial affairs more themselves, which meant that they had to simplify some things and drop other ideas. We are very happy to announce that we are coming to you for the first look at our official trailer for the movie, Greatest Days.

The cast for the show were discovered through TV talent show Let It Shine, as Five to Five won the roles and went on tour with the show. Both in their original '90s heyday and after their 2006 comeback, Take That racked up an incredible number of hits – with the Gary Barlow-led band notching a total of 12 number-ones on the UK singles chart.

It received its world premiere under its original title The Band at the Manchester Opera House, in September 2017, before embarking on a UK and Ireland tour and opened at the Theatre Royal Haymarket at London's West End in December 2018. Of course, the film makes use of a number of the group's most memorable tunes, and if you're wondering which hits made the cut, read on to find the full Greatest Days soundtrack. The not-to-be-missed live performance will be showcased at cinemas nationwide alongside the premiere previews on the same night, so fans can see Take That play their music ahead of the screening. Greatest Days is a 2023 British film based on the Take That jukebox musical of the same name (originally titled The Band), directed by Coky Giedroyc and written by Tim Firth. It's therefore no surprise that a jukebox musical was made featuring their songs, and more than five years after Greatest Days first opened at the Manchester Opera House (originally with the title The Boys), fans have now been treated to a film adaptation.
