There is plenty of tension and suspenseful moments and some well thought out plot twists as it builds to a very good ending. This was my first Koomson book (even though I've had one of her previous books on my shelf for the last 11 years, it's moved with me 7 times! For anyone that has read this authors books before, you know that you fall into the storyline hook line and sinker, and that you just keep reading.

Cleo is a successful author, but the people in her life are dying the same way as the characters in her novels are.There was a lot of angst and emotion in the writing and you fully felt it all - sometimes I wanted to scream at Cleo and ask her what the hell she was doing.

Overall, it was a really good read and if you like the slow simmering burner style of books then this one is for you. Heath is really nothing at all as we first imagine, and as his behaviour becomes increasingly out of control, and his jealousy and paranoia increases, his actions have such a profound effect on Cleo. Not too sure how to describe this book, other than the fact that this is a unique book, a plot which I won’t forget.Why has she told the TV company that no more shows will be made, and why on earth is she divorcing Wallace? The story is told through two timelines where we meet Cleo in the present as she is going through a divorce and being faced with a murder investigation, and in the past when she is at university and entering into her first relationship with the peculiar Heath.

As the reader gets to know more about modern-day Cleo, we are also taken back twenty-five years to when Cleo was a university student. This time it took a few pages in before I could say I enjoyed it but my goodness, literally I could not turn the pages quick enough to see what was going to happen.
