There's an AM4 upgrade kit for the Hyper 212 Evo but you're better off getting a newer cooler if you don't already have it. Aside from the black edition having a different design with the black brushed metal, the fan on the black edition has better performance and is quieter than the evo's.
The Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition is a welcomed and a modern redesign to the original Hyper 212 CPU cooler. on paper it's still a budget- friendly option but it will be interesting to see if its performance still lives up to the Hyper 212 name. At idle, the noise measurement app recorded an average noise level of 45dB, while the ambient noise level of the test bench's surroundings (with the test bench switched off) was measured to be around 45dB as well.
