About this deal

Goodbye To Love' 'Yesterday Once More' 'Close To You' are just some of the highlights of the Carpenters career.

She undertakes the character of Karen superbly, paying meticulous attention to her mannerisms, 'brother – sister' relationship with Richard and the playful interaction with her band and audience. All of these songs (with the exception of "Tryin' to Get the Feeling Again") are from the Japan-exclusive album As Time Goes By. not only perfectly emulates Karen’s legendary rich contralto, she even gets behind the drums (pictured). The tracks from As Time Goes By were remixed in the late 1990s/early 2000s and had not yet been released in the United States, while "Tryin' to Get the Feeling Again", from Interpretations, was originally recorded in 1975, but was left off Horizon due to the fact that it would have been too long. The original cover artwork had "Greatest Hits" in place of where "35th Anniversary Edition" is on the US cover. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. Carpenters Gold supremely captures how they were ‘live in concert’ and is a must for all fans of the fantastic Karen and Richard. This compilation's songs have more refined and re-recorded tracks, less noise in the background, and a lot of reverberation in the background. With the wonderful and unique voice of Karen Carpenter along with the beautiful arrangements by her brother Richard make this one of the classiest collections of pure 70' pop perfection. Karen did not appreciate the deep vocals of the original, and felt that she could do a better job for The Singles: 1969–1973. These songs are the original mixes, meaning that they have not been retouched since their recording. The albums 'A Song For You' and 'Yesterday Once More' along with 'Gold' have been on my system all over the weekend.
