About this deal

A firm favourite amongst both experienced and novice Buxus growers, Buxus Feed provides: Essential nutrients to green up leaf colour Extended nitrogen release to sustain growth Dense and healthy growth Buxus is best planted in autumn or spring, and depending on where a Buxus is being planted, Buxus Feed can be used to line the bottom of a trench before planting or used as a top dressing when planting has been established. Remember, like good soil for box, a good potting mix should be moist yet free-draining and should contain a reasonable proportion of organic matter, making it reasonably rich and fertile in its composition.

Buxus plants give structure to a garden, planted either in hedges or containers, and Vitax Buxus feed will promote dense and healthy growth in these popular plants.

It also creates something of a barrier between the lowest leaves on your box and the soil, which may help to reduce the spread of problems like blight. The surfactant ensures that the plant efficiently absorbs the product ingredients through its leaves. Important: Do not mix the contents of the 2 bottles directly together without diluting in water first.

Due to the weight of some of our products, if purchased in large quantities, it would make it financially unviable to deliver to certain Post Code areas. The fertiliser provides an extended nitrogen release to ensure nutrients are available as the plants grow.

This evergreen is neat and dense year-round and looks lovely when clipped into more formal forms or when left to grow more naturally. These are supplied in granular, liquid and in powdered formats depending on the brand and the type of use. The soil should also let the plants absorb nutrients easily and be free-draining so that the plant’s roots aren’t sitting in moist soil for too long.

Buxus hedges can benefit from a regular top dressing when planted in a permanent position in the ground. Liquid Buxus Feed has been formulated with the correct balanced nutrition to ensure sturdy growth alongside greener and glossier foliage to bring vibrancy to the garden.

When topdressing containers use Buxus Feed at the rate of 1 teaspoonful per 15-20 cm (6-8 inches) of pot diameter.

Ideal for all varieties of Buxus or Ilex crenata, Liquid Buxus Feed contains all the essential nutrients to promote strong, healthy growth to help prevent disease. We can deliver to addresses in Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Dorset, Devon, East Sussex, Essex, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Herefordshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, London (addresses within the congestion charge zone will incur a surcharge) Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Somerset, Surrey, Warwickshire, West Midlands, West Sussex and Wiltshire. For individual 15-20cm (6-8in) containers or bare-root plants, take 60g (2oz) of feed and sprinkle part of it into the bottom of the planting hole and fork in. This is especially important when the soil is a heavier one with poor drainage, but adding organic matter is always a good idea to improve the health of box plants and to make sure that they get the nutrients they need. For over-sized items (such as heavy items over 10kg or large items over 1 metre) an additional surcharge will apply depending on the item and will be confirmed at checkout. When top dressing containers use Buxus Feed at the rate of 1 teaspoonful per 15-20cm (6-8 inches) of pot diameter. A staple for most gardens, Buxus can be used as a structure, in pots or hedges, and is a popular choice for patio planters.
