You see, in my earliest years of motherhood, I was really struggling with so much that made it hard for me to present and able to enjoy and notice the details I never want to forget. Over the years we've developed more books to help you cherish your memories and live your life with more intention. You back up to kick a soccer ball with such focus and precision, we can’t help but think that may be ‘your sport. Writing a birthday letter to your baby is one of the sweetest traditions to start; they may not even know is happening but is one they will cherish the most for the rest of their life. I was unprepared for how spunky and silly you’d be, how much one little person could crave independence while still needing me close by every minute of every day.
Bought one of these for my friend a few years ago when she was expecting her first, forgot about it and then bought myself one recently because this is so lovely and I really wanted to have this for when I start my family.When you know that someone is doing wrong, we want you to stand up and tell the world about it and then do your best to fight against it. I do love our mummy and Alice day’s though and am determined to make the most of these last few months before you start school. I moved from Southern California to Idaho and love adventuring with my husband Matthew, our two children, and our dog Ginger. My sisters baby was only four months old on the third of July and she already sits up and holds her bottle by herself when feeding!

You’ve taught me so much in your short 2 years, but above all, you’ve taught me to slow down and cherish life and the little things.I can send you to a camp half way across the country, knowing nobody, and you come home with a dozen new best friends.
On the other hand, be realistic with your expectations and always remember that there are people who are better than you, thus, never underestimate your peers and acquaintances. You make me proud in many ways, and I love watching you grow into the beautiful, strong young lady you have become. You always want to spend time with her and sometimes we have to tell you to be gentle, because you don’t understand how delicate she is, but you are doing a great job. May today and every day moving forward be full of love and laughter surrounded by those who love you the most. You’ve helped me accept me and be kind to myself, because God knows we’ve both needed this level of compassion as we journey through this life together.I’ll always be here when you’re tired, frustrated, sick, hurt, and even when you’re happy and want to share that with me. Though we’ve been looking forward to this day, it is bittersweet – I love seeing you flourish and grow yet I’m so sad to be leaving behind the baby days and approaching toddlerhood. That you learn so much more during the sixth year of your life, that you love others deeply…and that each day you take one step closer towards the woman God created you to be. I still can’t believe how quick my labor was with you, from getting to the birthing center at 6am and having you at 6:45 (only because I was waiting for your Dad to get there! And I was so utterly unprepared for the fierceness that would come to characterize my love for you, the tender mess my heart would become as I learned to be your mom.
