About this deal

You guys were so fab and Dawn was such a lovely presence in the schools - I will absolutely be in touch next time I'm in your neck of the woods. The utter conviction of the mouse is a lesson on how anyone and anything can convince themselves that a fallacy is true. Norman the bear loves honey, so he thinks up an ingenious plan to get his paws on as much as he can eat - by enrolling at Bee School! I wish there was more at the ending to show this was all just silliness between friends, and not meant to confuse all the other animals.

Both the boys regularly “charge” at us pretending to be rhinos and my eldest even went through a phase of being a woodpecker. With vibrant artwork by award-winning illustrator Ross Collins, and delightful characters created by rising star Karl Newson, I am a Tiger is a story that will amuse and entertain everyone, from the smallest mouse to the biggest tiger.Mouse decides that is enough and skips off for lunch still thinking that those animals are a silly lot.

Mouse is a great character, becoming all the more interesting when he discovers he isn’t really a tiger after all.I can’t really say much more at the moment as most of them are under wraps for the time being… but they should be revealed soon, I hope! He enjoys writing stories on a variety of topics, from quiet bedtime reads, to wild, imaginative, wondrous tales. Mouse isn't to be dissuaded, and his fresh perspective on his friends' classifications is as charming as his own strong sense of self. This book could be utilized in the classroom to talk about perspective and different observations that each animal makes about the mouse.

The mouse aspires to be a strong, fierce, roaring tiger instead of a small, scared, innocent, mouse. Bookwagon recommends this title as a truly enjoyable read aloud choice bound to draw laughs and comment!A deliciously playful fantasy tells how an audacious and ebullient mouse identifies himself as being something very much more than he is. Karl: I'm currently working on a ship-shaped chapter book idea (and a couple more ideas for Mouse to explore! I'm a Tiger ILLUSTRATOR : Liv Wan Find out which jungle animals are hiding in this colourful, interactive lift-the-flap children’s board book with a surprise ending.

I would highly recommend this book to ages 3-6, and I think it would especially be an awesome read aloud in a preschool classroom. I have three other books due to be published between August and October (two more picture books and a young fiction) and a few more due next year. After identifying the other animals as something other than what they are, based on their characteristics, the mouse sallies forth to catch his lunch. The hope is that anyone who reads this would understand how ridiculous the mouse is being and that its behavior is actually not appropriate. Fabulous for guessing games – describe some animals to children and imagine how the mouse might see them. A picture book: This Book Can Read Your Mind by Susannah Lloyd and Jacob Grant is fantastic fun and will have you full of giggles. Karl: The idea for it came when I thought about how silly it could be for something to confidently declare it was something else - something that it clearly wasn't!
