About this deal

We certainly remembered her from her iconic role in The Last Picture Show, and the hilarious The Heartbreak Kid. I have noticed that some of the episodes on the region 1 discs are nearly two minutes longer than its region 2 counterparts. Abgesehen natürlich von fiesen modischen Fauxpas - wir haben sie ja schließlich fast alle begangen, zumindest die über 30 jährigen.

I've noticed everything from entire scenes I've never seen to small extensions of scenes (usually just a few extra lines of conversation, etc. The one thing that I was really pleased to see is that they kept all of the original music to the show (as best as I could determine. Un excellent mélange de romantisme, de cascade et d'humour, d'intrigue et de mystère, et voilà "Clair de Lune" !The two main themes that come out of their entertaining, honest commentary are desperation and disappointment. In Cybill Shepherd's autobiography she mentions that when Moonlighting was first released on DVD, she wasn't invited to participate in any of the extras, and was obviously quite put out that Bruce Willis did a commentary - so it's nice to see her appear in these featurettes. They just see things form a different perspective, and the audience can see that, even if the characters can't. The banter between the two leads is reminiscent of His Girl Friday with barbed phrases being thrown about throughout the series with devastatingly comic effect. Seeing it again for the first time since it left the networks I found it still funny, but not as fresh.

As they go to sleep, each of them has a dream where they envision themselves, and their partner, as the suspects in the case. The Guardian UK - Willis and Shepherd are superb: a witty, sparky, properly grown-up twosome, subconsciously flirting towards romance then bickering their way back out. There's not much on the backstory concerning the season or the episode (except for Shepard's constant blaming of Caron for all the troubles of this season), maybe because Shepard admits to not doing her homework prior to the commentary -- she's not even sure who the characters are, or basic details of the various story arcs. Glamorous Maddie Hayes (Cybill Shepherd) is an ex-model with a problem--her accountant just ran off with her money.
