The design for this 72 unit (of which 12 affordable / HA) apartment block replaces a former car park building and launderette, later used as a community centre. Jack and Molly Pritchard commissioned Wells Coates to design Lawn Road Flats, the first International Style apartment building in Britain.

There was a communal kitchen for the preparation of meals, connected to the residential floors via a dumb waiter (which meant that most of the flats had small galley kitchens). to the 1934 landmark Wells Coates grade I-listed Isokon building, which is evident in the design of this new block of apartments.
