I’m not going to go too much into the making of the amulet here, mostly because I plan on detailing all that in it’s own post in the near future.

What followed was a series of tests and revisions of the collar piece to see how everything was fitting together. The faux leather vest features ribbon lacing on the back, adding a touch of elegance and authenticity. Much later in the process I also added some velcro to the chest, as the NECA figure showed there are a few bones that attach directly to the tunic (Which I also made out of foam that has been dremelled into shape). While it’s a bit hard to see the tulle in this lighting, you can see how it’s pulling the blue fabric and creating odd folds in the fabric.com, the Sell on Etsy app, and the Etsy app, as well as the electricity that powers Etsy’s global offices and employees working remotely from home in the US. I suspect that the sculptors didn’t have a lot to go on themselves, as I remember finding a few inaccuracies when comparing things to the movie. After a couple glasses of wine that night, which is how every creative idea happens, I was inspired to recreate the Goblin King’s costume but with my own personal feminine spin (yet gender-fluid). So our Labyrinth trio wore our costumes to DragonCon in Atlanta last year and Comicpalooza in Houston this year. The beauty of the Labyrinth is there are so many characters to feature; it is perfect for a large group costume! Just a heads up, don’t hold your hand in one position for too long or the crystal will start lighting your glove on fire.As we bid farewell to the old and welcome the new, there's no better way to celebrate than by hosting an unforgettable New Year's Eve party! As you can see, I finally did manage to get some black EVA foam, but for some reason chose to use some other random colours as well. The scales were given the same tinfoil/hot iron treatment, and then glued down to the chest piece base. Jareth wears a cape in some scenes, and if you look at the picture above, you can see blue peeking out underneath one of his. I used kwikseal to fill in the seams of my collar piece, which is the white material you see on the image above. You’ll also note that I clearly didn’t expect these images to see the light of day, as I made no attempt to hide the dumpster fire that is my house during craft time. Here’s the part where sacrifices were made…I looked everywhere for a fabric that matched Sarah’s vest and had no luck, all the while eyeballing the curtains in a guest bedroom because they were *close*.Once that dried I then drew on seam lines where I felt they would fit, and then cut the pieces along the seam lines.
